Wow...out already!!! We are going to be waiting quite awhile around southern ontario. Last year I remember being on Cooks Bay 3 times before new years. I certainly can't wait to get out and my target fish for this year is walleye. I can always seem to get them in the soft water season but never in the winter. Well, lets hope that the warm snap doesn't break the ice up for you guys up there. I think you are the first guy I have seen reportin ice fishing. Congrats to you!

Aw..must have found nice to get that first little bit of ice fishing in. I can't wait to hit the hard water for some fish but it looks like around here (southern ontario) we will have to be waiting a long while. Today it is 6 out and this week is supposed to have highs of 10. Oh well it is definetly worth the wait. Good job to you!!!!

I wonder if after tomorrow night there will be yet another loss. Those Red Wings won't go down without a fight....the leafs just have to do all thier scoring in the third....then maybe they will win

yeah I am pretty sure you can get the Bass Pro ones at esso and macs milk

Yeah I have family in Kitchener and they didn't get anything. How long are we going to have to wait in the Toronto area to get a nice blanket of snow on the ground? It is starting to seem like we are never going to get it. Mother natures keeps teasing us. We had the cold weather this week and now it looks as though things are gonna warm up a bit for next. I wonder when we are going to be able to get out on the ice. The sudbury guys are already saying they may be out by the weekend.

Hey Guys Well hit up the credit today around 11am looking to get a few bows. Man did it ever get cold today. The day started off pretty well with a 5lb bow coming out of the wire mesh. We stayed there for an hour with no more luck. we then headed up to the falling rock pool where we caught two more rainbows. With the cold weather now the key is no longer first light, we have found that they are hitting more mid day between 11am and 1pm. The water is looking great for steelheading. It is slightly higher than normal with that beautiful greenish tinge to it. We were hitting them on chartruesse bags in the quarter size. I must say thogh that it was getting increasingly more difficult to keep ice off the float and main line. The weather for this weekend looks good for getting out seeing as how it will be above zero for most of the weekend. I think it is getting close to that time to put the float rod away for a month or so seeing as how we don't usually have much luck between Christmas and Februaury first. There is usually too much slush on the river to get the bait down or the pools have a thick crust of ice on them. Well, good luck to all and I think we will have to start heading down towards niagara to get some of these Lake O chromers Shaun

These guys probably killed it because it is a bit of an odity and it is eating the fish they make their living off of. My 2 cents -
no my last name is Bannon....again I love this board so much because people actually use it. Fis***tario.com (not sure the rule about that kinda stuff) has forums that are like watching paint dry. I remeber times when u would go on there and people hadn't posted anything in like 3 days. There is nothing better than an active community of web users. It also helps out when people want to know about a certain body of water. Thanks again for the warm welcome!!!

I have to go with the Habs myself. I have been a fan of them since i can remeber. The other perk is that I am only 22 and I have got to experience my team winning the cup!!!

Well... I do also fish for other species but I love the walleyes!!! I am in Mississauga so I have the credit right here in my own backyard. From now until the soft water opening I just fish for steelies in the year round section of the credit. I will try to dig up some pics from Peurta Vallarta deep sea fishing. Can you upload videos on here?
