Wow, i live in the wrong part of ontario. I would take a 40 inch pike as my biggest for the year and be happy lol.

a few more days till I can get to the feeder creaks. Then I should be able to land a few beasts:) to be honest i was surprised to see those pike today in that location. And thanks! This area of ontario is fishing paradise:)

I went to the walk-in Dr with a cold and sore chest from coughing, and got some wicked narcotic cough syrup, mouth wash stuff, and 112 Tylenol 3's with codeine.

 

Went to my family Dr. with a pulled muscle in my back and got some back stuff and 10 Tylenol 3's with codeine.

 

I'm almost certain the 112 was to be 12. Heck I only took 1, and 112 is a heck of a lot!

 

I think typo's must make up a part of med mistakes.

brutal. I was volunteering for our suboxone treatment clinic(medication to stop opiate abuse). I was dispensing on a saturday, which meant i had to go to the pharmacy to get all the patients meds. I get back to the office and check to ensure there the right amounts and doses for each client. Hmmm, extra bottle??? What is it? 200 OxyContin. I returned them but i found that to be quite a massive mistake

Well i only seen one more fish, she was a hearty beast but no take:) mid 40's id say. Was cool to see some youngens land a real nice sturgeon. They were stoked:). See. A few big ones jumping too, even they were enjoying the weather! I work nights this week so I'll be out there again all week man I'm sore though lol. Earl bedtime tonight from all that fresh air:)

Man cant even find a fish now:( beauty day out, must be +12 and no wind. Just got a visit from the MNR. Real nice guys, chatted about the new regs etc. they stayed for a good 20 minutes then off they went and checked 6 more boats

Surprised nobody said fish oil soft gels??? Cheap, and work great on spoons, but deadly in a tube. 180 softgels cost about 10 bucks at Walmart. Help those fish get their EPA/DHA hahaha

i hear ya man. I sat outside yesterday and watched the river for hours, just hoping to get out there. Its one of those times where you wanna throw every lure just because haha. I'm watchin a few American boats walleye fish right now. One guys is smart, he anchored his boat on the ice so he doesn't have to fight the current lol. 5 boats down there now. I thought there would be more

Well after an unsuccessful attempt at launching the boat yesterday, i had it in my mind i was fishing today no matter what lol. Woke up at 4am and trekked to look at launches, still another day or two away. Launch on the American side is good though. So i decided to find a shore fishing spot. First spot was good to go, a shallow river bay. The walk down was good until the sun started heating up lol then i was in 2 feet of snow haha. Nice sunny conditions, about plus 5, maybe 10km winds from the east. Water is crystal clear. StRted to set up and d'oh, brought the wrong tackle box lol. Still some decent lures to try. I started out by casting raps and got two nice big birds nests right away! Awesome! After I came to my senses i could see a few pike chasing or turning but not hitting my super slow presentation. Tried to speed up and the wouldnt even look. Then i switched to a Johnson silver minnow and started getting good hits! Sooo good of a feeling:) got 5 good bites and landed all those, ranging from 30-35". Then before heading home for a quick snack, i see a bigger fish:) i cast to her a few times and finally get her to bite! After a good fish i get her to shore and just as i grab her out pops the hook. Nothing huge but a nice thick fish, pushing 40". Awesome morning. I'm heading back down in an hour, with the right gear plus the silver minnow lol. I'm hoping my kiddos will come so we can snap a few pics this time:) pretty tough to get selfies with pike haha. I'm just excited, so fun to be out casting again!!!

I watched facts if fishing today and i learned one thing, its hard to catch fish with your lure stuck to your forehead, hahaha. Only shows i really like are the next bite and uncut angling

I'm going for ice out pike today, so at 4am i woke up to watch a few vids to get the juices flowing. Ended up watching uncut angling bloopers and i woke up half the house i was laughing so hard! I love that show

A little off topic but to those with loved ones doing these duties, how does it effect your partner, you, your family???i have to imagine it strains families, and mentally that must be soooo tough to deal with traumas all day. Like does it effect their mentality, similar to say... War veterans?

Excited for the game!!!! KF i still wish they're eliminate the divisions/conferences for playoffs. Go solely on a point system. That way all the best teams are in, and it would create new rivalries. I'd love to see match ups like Chicago vs LA in the first round, that would be awesome! To me it sucks when a team in the east with 82 points makes it, and a team from the west with 9o points is off golfing. (Numbers exaggerated but you get the point)

I used the ProCure shrimp scent on a few of the rivers in BC (with no bait ban). It kept the lures stinky for a long time and I did notice I was able to catch a few more fish compared to unscented lures. That ProCure stuff is very potent...A little goes a long way - don't get it on your hands like I did

 

I bought the GULP herring spray last season with the intension of sweetening up my ice fishing lures for lakers...When I bought it, I didn't think that it would solidify in the cold...trying to spray my lures in -10 degrees was an exercise in futility.LOL

my berkley scent is no good at -10 as well. What you do get out looks like a frozen cat turd

I did something else today that mighta been viral approved lol(no filming though). I went to storage and picked up all my baitcaster rods/reels. I had the itch BAD! So i thought id prep them and go cast in the yard. Forget about the power lines overhead, d'oh! Coulda been a Darwin Award moment. Almost stuck a 4/0 in the power lines

Some people need to give their heads a shake. 2 weeks ago i watched a young mother call ER in advance to see her sick daughter. Sniffling, runny nose, cough and a fever. I told her your daughter has a cold, take her home and get a dose of ibuprophen in her and let her rest. Nope, she's going to ER because she cant afford ibuprophen and want to get it via prescription???? Are you kidding me???? I went home and grabbed some for her. I couldn't believe she was actually gonna do that! Anyhow, i think the government screws up most things and it doesn't surprise me one bit. Last people I'd ever blame is the staff(like what bunk mentioned). These people basically give their life to help ours. The very definition of remarkable citizens. One of my good friends is a nurse and its amazing to see the commitment and enthusiasm he shows to helping people. If our whole society acted more like these people the world would be such an awesome place

We tried to get the boat in the water today lol, didnt work out, still two more days i think. Man does it suck seeing all that open water out in from of our house lol. How much ice ya still got on the wabigoon simon?

I started out with gulp attractant and i dont think it helped or hurt. Then i switched to berkleys scents and i really like the bass one, which i find works better for walleye then anything else lol. Imo they work but i think a lot of that is because it masks the scent on your hands. I can tell ya one thing, if you don't smoke you'll catch more fish. I really believe fish are turned off by that crap
