Hahaha its 95% c&r brotha. I keep a few feeds in the fall and spring.

Any fish I eat in summer or winter are from different waterbodies

Im over my little rant. Im just gonna flood OFC with fishing/family and nature pics lol

 

Only place I know of is BC, but you have to keep the fish in the water and C&R. In fact the sturgeon fishery is protected by $$$ recreational sturgeon fishing brings.

We can legally target sturgeon on the american side of rainy river but ya gotta get US license. Catch and release only

That stretch I fish alot has millions of sturgeon and the co's know there is no way of avoiding accidental catches. They will check your rods though! Pretty easy to tell whos tagetting them if ya got 30lb braid and a 4oz sinker

I also contribute to the sturgeon hatchery which is just up the hill.

The cos know we wouldnt target or intentional harm or keep these fish

Anyone caught doing so for non traditional purposes would likely be strung up by their kneck!

where can you fish for Sturgeon, thought most lakes the fish is closed year round.

The MNR is constantly in the area and it a general rule they allow a quick photo(although that technically means possession) but its a no no to target them

I went fishing today!!!!

Only the 4th time this year!!!!!!

Caught fish too. Water temp @ the launch 1*C.

Water temp on the lake 6*C.

Wind NE 15k gusting to 25k.

Fishing was pretty darned good!!!

My buddy and I boated 14 lakers and 2 pike in just over 4 hours of fishing.

Nothing of any size though. 8 or 10# was the largest. Most were 4-6#'s

Heading back out in the AM. Launch bay will be frozen by next weekend so I'm done until safe ice.

I take the time to post intimate pics of myself and my family, fishing, camping, nature, and nobody gives a crap

I love others reports and always chime in. It takes time and im very appreciative members take their time to show us their adventures.

Ofc should put a week hiatus on any post not fishing or huntin related and see how the response is

Many times I fish that spot at night and you are correct! I put my ice shack right there in the winter too and at night you can get triple digits

Bite slowed abit but I got two more
