Still... I'm flabbergasted that Canadians know this much about the American political system, and seemingly have deep-seated opinions about it. Do they teach it in school up there or something?

I just enjoy learning. I read about politics in other nations as well.

I can only speak for myself however(and for the record I am American/Canadian)

FYI, it's actually pretty rare to have a President who lost the popular vote, it's only happened 5 times in US history (1824, 1876,1888, 2000 and 2016).

 

Just did the math, there have been 56 Presidential elections, so just under 9% of elections have had this outcome.

The fact remains, electoral votes get you elected, not the popular vote.

I may be incorrect but the only message Ive heard from liberals/millenials rioting (thats right its not protesting), is that they want to abolish the electoral college because Trump won that but Hillary won majority vote.

In interviews, these people dont even know the electoral college has played a huge part in deciding presidential elections since when??? Off the top of my head Ill say 1786 or 88. Its nothing new. Its there because 50% of people in the US live in less than 5% of US landmass.

Imagine if they didnt have the electoral college? Then Hillary would have won the presidency, but Trump WOULD BE VICE PRESIDENT.

My buddy jeff gotta good one two days back as well thats a mounter. Deer are thick this year up our way.

The mine seems to have pushed fairly huge population of "wild deer" right onto our laps(as opposed to the "farm" deer)

That medical marijuana sure did the trick!!

Well tonight was the night! Setup around 3pm and this monster decides to stroll through around 4. Had to find an opening between the pine trees in order to get a shot but I made it (He was booking it pretty good) Dropped him at about 50yrds.

 

You can tell I was a little bit excited. Can't wait to score him, definitely getting a head mount done. Biggest deer I've ever shot!

 

Nice going bill!!! Now time for the good eats!

Love that Kalins grub color. Caught lots of different fish with that color.

That being said kalins makes awesome grubs and many really good colours but this one takes the cake IMO

I hear they are illegal in Vermont, California and some other states!!!

I heard its the only lure endorsed by the electoral college...

I can get the YUM no prob but the Kalin's not so much.

Hey, if anyone has lures they cannot find anymore but it's a "tried and true lure for you" might as well post a pic as someone may have it in the box and not use it anymore. If I make my way up to see Rick I know I'll be packing a bunch of grub's he likes but cannot find locally.

Id be down to help as well but im pretty sure sunset country doesnt have any lures that arent available to people in southern ontario.

Tubes. In all colours and sizes. 12 months of the year

I had never used tubes outside of laker fishing.

I picked up 4 packs of tubes and some of those northland inertube jigs.

I went to my favorite spot at the rapids for bass.

I was txting GBW at the time.

I tied on this colour thats was kinda like light rust

First 4 casts I had 4 nice bass. GBW was laughing at me as I was kinda getting mad that I had never bothered with tubes before lol

In an hour and a half I think I ended up with 22 or so bass and a few were 4 club

I didnt even try another colour or change baits. Every fish came on the same tube lol

Good question! It sure seems to me it does, but I have no scientific data to back that up.

One could simply state "well I catch more fish on black jigheads) ie myself, in which you could retort "well you use a black jighead roughly 85% of the time".

And you would be correct.

The results are skewed because different coloured jigheads have not been used an equal amount of time.

Then you add in species, weather, water clarity etc and its a virtually impossible model to distinguish a clear result

Black jig head and Kalins "bluegill" coloured 4" grub.

Its dark blueish hue with fleck

That and Yum black grub with the silver fleck tail. I have to order these now because I cant find them local.

No matter the lure type im tossing black is a heavy favorite

The "Big O" is a great bass bait by CC. Good to hear they are trying to sort this out for you.

The big O is perfect for amature bait tinkerers! I colour many versions with paints and nail polish and found one colour patter that drives bass nutso!
