  1. Yes and i think that is the year that my hatred for the ofah came about, we wanted to put a temp sanctuaries on parts of the river so no fishing could be done the ofah said not a chance that is when our mayor stepped in and said fine there will be no trespassing signs and no fishing rods in a park ect ect.. the ofah then allowed the sanctuaries to go in ..
  2. we have asked to sand bag the other side of the dam, they will not give us permission to do so
  3. the water is high so they will jump at all locations .. we have removed a log from the ladder and there is more flow going out the entrance to draw fish over .. if the mnr would replace the gabian baskets at the other side of the river .. it would direct the water flow towards the entrance of the ladder
  4. we have gotten lamprey at the ladder .. and have peeled lampreys off fish before we sample them
  5. chinooks in the ganaraka river are natural reproduced... the estimate is over 80 % .. we will find out in the fall
  6. i say 1500 more .... not unless there is a miracle
  7. http://www.ctv.ca/CT...-fixing-120321/ Three companies have pleaded guilty to fixing the price of gasoline between May and November of 2007 in two Ontario cities: Brockville and Kingston. The Competition Bureau announced in a news release Tuesday that Pioneer Energy LP, Canadian Tire Corporation and Mr. Gas "agreed among themselves to set the gas price for consumers at the pump." The agency said it found evidence that the retailers or their representatives called each other to discuss the price they would charge for gasoline. Specifically, the companies agreed to co-ordinate their response to price changes initiated by major-brand competitors. The companies entered their guilty pleas in a Brockville courtroom and will pay a total of $2 million in fines. "Consumers in Kingston and Brockville were denied a competitive price for gasoline as a result of this criminal price-fixing cartel," Competition Commissioner Melanie Aitken said in a statement. "The Bureau will not hesitate to take action when it uncovers evidence of illegal price-fixing." The agency said the covert nature of such conspiracies make them difficult to prove. The bureau searched six corporate offices and five residences and seized thousands of both paper and electronic records, in addition to using wiretaps surveillance and witness interviews, to build its case. According to the agency: Pioneer Energy was fined $985,000 Canadian Tire was fined $900,000 Mr. Gas, which pleaded guilty to price fixing only in Brockville, was fined $150,000 The Competition Bureau said its investigation into price-fixing in the retail gasoline market is ongoing. 12. as of april 27 i have 4691 fish over in 2010 i do not know where they get 6300+ there numbers are complete lies
  13. liverelease . well in my opinion the 2010 count of 9058 is absolute crap. we had aprox 4900 fish through the counter and a percentage of them we can not count so lets say 10 percent are smaller than 14 inches or 16 . They use air temperature to get there data and they say lots went over before we got counter in ... i say bull crap i have been at the ladder since i was 10 i am not 43 i can never remember a day of 1000 fish, can you remember the year that 1000 went over in a single day thanks

  15. its really to vague to comment . the cost of doing any thing around or in water is crazy the only ones making money is the consulting firms. the projects are usually done the feds should not be in that bussiness. in port hope we have the grca they dictate what goes on in "water" areas .
  16. no sense even having the counter in .. when they make numbers up......... lets say 4900 thorough the counter... they say ...... 9250 ..... yup that sounds right

  19. engineers at work... the water normally does not go down that channel.. the engineers made it to low and if we get any high water at all thats where the fish go due to rainbows don't like heavy water flow.. but its not in the volunteers control or we would sand bag that side. but we are not allowed
  20. Hey Ron have I got a story to tell you ... i am going after a scientific permit ... and some people don' t like that . Hope to see you at the river and tell you. I know you know alot about the lomu but what i tell you will make you spit fire
