  1. yea, but you probably aren't fishing near the warm water discharge from a nuclear plant

You got it!!! U can have 30 inches and not too far away have 7 in some cases....I've seen it in there before, not everywhere, but it can happen there. There's a lot of current coming through from the main lake channel carrying in warm water etc....more than most ppl realize.

Going to the right is a bad idea...

    Thank god all is ok

  2. My buddy did his floor with bedliner like a rhino lining or something. Oh man it hurt the knees if u heeled on it , but it was grippy!!!

I went high quality carpet in my prince craft 6 yrs ago, still looks mint....but I only found out the vinyl option was available directly after I ordered the carpet, I was pissed. Live and learn, next time I guess...least I didn't put in cheap carpet

  3. I know this guy that.......

Ive heard some ppl "claim" to use kittens for musky bait.....attention seekers, kind of like "those" ppl sexually attracted to fire type deal.

Its easy to tell; all you have to do is talk to somebody who has the plague, elbow nudge him, then ask how the fishing's treating him. You'll get your answer real fast!

  4. I've gone through lots of LC pointers and never had one malfunction. Only malfunction I have is casting off $16 baits when fishing in negative temps because my gear is too iced up. I always have a back up of my fav colour because I'm pretty good at casting a few off every season!!! :wallbash:

LC pointer real skins. Took on water early, I mean 8hours early, happened at least three times

Xrap same deal, but more than 3

Target....perch model, can't confirm exactly, but 1 at least. After a while u get pissed.

Call me a liar, I know what a malfunction is. I usually buy everything in bulk...bad batch, maybe I don't know. I know what happened though. I've got a buddy who used the same LCp for over 5yr, no probs. but I have had problems. I still buy em all, but ishhh happens no doubt.

And sadly I know all too well about casting off my favs every season!

*******not to say no longer use these due to malfunction.....because i still actually RELY on them!!!****

  5. If I'm going to spend that kind of $$$ on a lure, it will be a LC, Duo, etc etc.

No doubt though the LC pointers are worth the money, a buddy of mine swears by them, and I have nabbed some decent fish with them. I find no brand holds up to the torture of use in cold water condition pike/browns: Ive had too many LC , rapala x-rap and live target malfunction (take on water and crack) without me (knowingly) clipping it off something. If I dont know what I did to make it not work, thats brutal IMO ....either theres something wrong with me or the lures, Im having a tough time wondering sometimes.....

I must say though, I am pretty happy that I didnt have hook and split ring failures like other people have experienced, and Ive caught some decent browns and pike etc. I would lose it if it happened......

  6. Somebody hit me in a parking lot last year boxing day. They were at fault, and their insurance company paid the full $6000 I didnt pay anything, at it was surprisingly simple. I went to damage reporting center, they called it as I wasnt at fault end of story.

$1800 seems like a super high end quote from a very established play ie 427 auto collision etc. Youd be surprised at what something can cost, sounds like hes hitting you high so he can make you feel like you get a deal when he says he'll take $1000 cash.

I say, send him to get 2 more quotes, waste his time and say "forget it, insurance" at the end....or pull up in a better condition 2000 civic you bought for $1500 with lower kms and try and get him to accidentally hit it.

Sounds like a bad deal youre involved with, all the best. I hate people like him.

  7. Purchased a used jiffy in summer of 2012 which had gas and stabilizer in it from the end of winter 2012.....I used it (same gas stabilizer etc) ONCE in January 2013, and it worked beautifully. Prob only drilled 8-10 holes with it.......

My question is, should I dump that gas/stabilizer ASAP (thinking like flow and go pump).....or is it still ok to leave that gas in there and dump it later beforeI plan to use it.....(I usually just use my manual augers unless I have a small walk, target larger fish and ice is super thick etc....)

It's premium gas and stabilized correctly....

    Thoughts?

  8. Worst backlash I've ever done was with a shimano dc reel.....right down to the spool. Took my wife 25mns to get out.

Worst backlash I've seen was a buddy with a quantum those blue pt tour burners. We had a few beers, I just tuned the reel for him and we were at his cottage. He took a cast for the patio , snagged a tree midway and the worst birds nest I ever saw. Lol he didn't use backing, so straight braid down to the spool. Took sooooooooooooooooo long to get out while cutting inch by inch of line. That fool. It was funny though and his new name is old thumb-er.
