  1. She's a sponsor for the BFFF and she has no bait. She hasn't had minnows since last year, yet the guys at Hwy#11 & 89 have. I'm thinkin' she wants out of the business. It's too bad really because there is no other bait/tackle shop in Barrie now. You'd think that bait sales would make up a majority of her business?!
  2. They made it look pretty, but they didn't increase the functionality of it. It still sucks on the weekends. The only plus was they started ticketing vehicles without trailers.
  3. Yeah they were supposed to make out of towners pay at the Tiffin Launch and then that got put off. There still is tons of free parking down there though. The city of Barrie is not real good at utilizing the lakefront. After looking at the price for the other derbys, $40 is pretty high. I don't normally fish tournaments. I got a free pass for last years derby and decided to try again this year. It's still new, I'll decide after this year if I'll keep going though.
  4. "Ah yes looks like the parking has been postponed for a while." HUH?
  5. It's only $40 to enter the tournament/festival. Where are you parking & paying? There's tons of free parking down there!!?
  6. I haven't seen this posted before and thought I would let people know. I was at the Tiffin launch yesterday and noticed cars without trailers being tagged. I don't know what the fine is.It's about time they started to get "some control" over that launch. I,for one, welcome it.
  7. With the weeds in the shallow areas gone, I would try a little deeper. 30 ft or more. Again, looks for weeds.
  8. You could probably still go. I would try the North or South side of the bay. Look for weeds.
  9. If you're going to Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie you may have a hard time finding them. The city of Barrie has been dredging the waterfront. I was out 2 Fridays ago and my usual spot was completely devoid of weeds. I had to fish over by the Tiffin launch to find weeds & fish. That smell from the run-off canal there adds to the experience as well.
  10. Setting up a charge booth would also deter a lot of people from using it(Which may not be a bad idea?!) It would have made more sense, since they were already revamping the launch to add in the things I mentioned above.
  11. The chips should all be the same whether you have the Elite model or the HDS one. Maybe you have an older version of the chip & it needs to be upgraded throught the Navionics site.
  12. It doesn't render it unusable. I just got the same unit and I have already downloaded the Navionics program & updated my micro-SD CARD. I'm still fine-tuning it myself and haven't really noticed the depth detail. It is pretty easy to set up if you download the manuals for it, although the manual covers a number of models.
  13. They could also use extra docking where you could tie your boat up & then go get your vehicle & trailer, instead of pulling into the launch and then getting your trailer and thus tying up the launch. If the setup was improved with extra docking, signage, and police ticketing vehicles without trailers in the parking lot once in a while, it would probably improve the situation immensely!
  14. It's on the South-West corner of that intersection. There's a variety store in there as well.
  15. Hwy 11 & 89(Cookstown rd) sells minnows, worms & leeches. Really nice guy(Kevin?,Keith?) owns it. I apologize if he reads this, I don't have his card handy. He's open @ 6am. Only 1/2 hr, 45mins from Tiffin launch.
  16. Go to UTorrent.com, download the free program. Go to Peerblock.com & download the free program there. Open Peerblock, Open Utorrent. Search google for anything you want & add torrent to the end of it. IE: BLACK SABBATH TORRENT I stick mostly with isohunt & piratebay downloads. Open isohunt for example and click on file you want. Note: Read the comments.People who have already downloaded will post good or bad comments. Click on download torrent, a new window opens and you can check off what you want to download. IE: One song you like. File shows up in utorrent window & starts to download. If you right click on the file being downloaded you can change the upload or download speed. Once download completes you will notice that the file is 'SEEDING' which means you are now helping someone else download the file. If you don't want to do this then right click & Stop. If your download is taking forever, you can click on the option tab @ the top of the screen & you can do a 'Shutdown when download completes' & your computer will shut off when it done. Always open Peerblock before you start downloading, it prevents unwanted users from accessing your computer. I know some guys who run it all the time when they are on their computers. I know this seems like alot to take in, but it's actually really easy once you see it going.
  17. It's the Barrie Fall Fishing Festival. WWW.BFFF.CA
  18. I'm in, I got a free family pass for it. I took that week off.
  19. I've had the 1775 PRO V SE since 2000. It's been a great boat. The only problem I've had was figuring out the battery situation for both the cranking battery & the trolling motor batteries. Other than that I have no complaints.
  20. I sent you an e-mail this morning. Thanks
  21. @ 4eyes & harrison. I really appreciate the offer. I still have to check with my insurance to see if it's covered though. I've been a little busy this week buying & installing new motion sensor lights & a new lock for my shed to phone them. I should do it soon. I'll probably do it after I install the bouncing betty landmines & the poison dart guns. Might even post one of them trail cameras. This theft crap has become a big issue in a lot of areas. Something needs to be done about it. At this point,I figure I'll take the dark away from them at least. Again, Thanks for your offer.
  22. @ spinnerbaitking. I can guarantee you that the wheels are turning on what to do WHEN I catch one of these little buggers. And I won't feel the slightest bit sorry for them. I for one am tired of dealing with this crap just because some ass has mommy/daddy issues, or whatever their problem may be.
  23. I know I'll probably catch flak for saying this, but I would just love to catch one of them. No matter which way you go ,you lose. If I catch the little bugger and lay a little beating on em, I'm the one who gets charged. If I report it to insurance, my premium goes up. If you report it to the police, they take their time getting there, write a report, and they're gone. When did theft become such a low priority? I, like many others, work for what I have, I'm not rich. And I despise the fact that someone can take it from you without consequences. I'm angry right now, but once, just once!!!!!!
  24. I made the ultimate mistake and forgot my tackle bag in my boat over night. Some little bugger decided he would like it, & stole it out my boat. He was nice enough though to close my boat back up. I am in the Barrie area & I just wanted to put the word out that if you come a cross a Browning tackle bag with Matzuo tools in the front & 8 large plano boxes inside. It weighs roughly 50-60lbs. I know it's probably gone for good, just thought I'd try. Thanx.
  25. I quit on the patch twice. Both times I didn't even make it to the final step & quit on the 2nd. Once you get it in your head to quit, it becomes a lot easier. I have a saying 'Clear your mind, your ass will follow.' I started when I was 10 and quit for over 14months on the first attempt and I've now been smokefree for over 3yrs from my second attempt. Good luck.
