  1. pretty simple rule thats generally in all by laws in the province of Ontario

any trailerable object more then 5.2 m in length can only remain on your dirveway for no more then 72 hrs per calander month. An RV that is driveable can remain on the driveway regardless of size ( as I was explained In mississiauga) I had the call on my 6.5 m boat and now have a 10k extension of the garage to house it in the works.... I know who complained and they will get thier just desserts

What if the boat with trailer is less then 5.2 m?

  2. Hi everybody,

I bought a boat last fall and parked the trailer with a boat close to my townhouse doors (I am living in the corner unit) leaving space to park my cars. Today, unfortunatelly i wasn't at home, some guy showed up saying that he got a complain from somebody in the area about boat standing in front of the house. He said that boat must be removed in 2 weeks or i will get ticket. I need some advise - i don't really know what to do actually. I can't understand what is the problem. Does it mean that during summer time i won't be able to keep my boat in front of my own place?

Any advises will be really appreciated.

    Thanks.

  5. Guys,

This heater is going on sale tomorrow at Canadian Tire.

    http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/5/SportsRec/1/Hunting/Heaters/PRD~0762117P/Coleman%252BSportcat%252BPropane%252BHeater.jsp?locale=en#BVRRWidgetID

I have a 2 men pop-up shelter, which i would like to heat during gold days. How good is that heater?

As i can see reviews are different on CT web site, maybe somebody is using it and can share own experience.

    thanks.

  6. What...... No love for the frabill or Dave Genz rods????? These rods (sans the dave genz reel) have been wonderful. Sensitive and durable, great to fish with either mono or braid.

Just bought a $16 Bob Izumi rod from Lebarons, any reviews on this?

I do have two of them since last season. These are good rods for me. One is ultra light, second - medium. I had to change ultra-light because of issue with tip on it(it wasn't broken - just was defective and i didn't see that, but replacement is still working just fine. I am pretty happy with them, specially i really do like the reel handles and sensitivity.

  7. Hi guys,

I would like to know if somebody is fishing Pointe Au Baril area? I would like to go there, because i never been there before. Any help will be appreciated. I am looking for some general inforamtion, like place to get to the ice, bait shop, etc....

    Thank you

  8. I will be in Trenton at the family in laws for a few days after Christmas and was thinking of starting off the ice fishing season in style. Just wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction as to where I can rent a hut around Trenton.

I guess I should also add the most important question- is there enough safe ice out there yet?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there,

You can rent a hut from Dave: http://www.fishfindercharters.com

I fished last week close to Indian Island. It's closest part of Bay if you are in Trenton. Ice was Ok - solid 6', don't go close to the mouth of Trent river - it's not safe. Fishing was slow for me. I didn't get any walleys, just a lot of small perch. If you need direction how to get where i can share with you.

  9. Depending on what your transducer looks like, you may not need to actually mount it to a fixed board or piece of wood. I use a portable Humminbird 535 with a typical transom mount transducer, with an optional suction cup mount. I remove the cup itself which is screwed on. Then I use a cable tie to fasten the cord to the plastic cup mount, and adjust it so that when I lower the whole thing into the water, it hang vertical. No problem as I have been using this setup for a few years now. The nice thing about this setup is everything can still fit into my original portable unit box. If you mount the transducer on a separate piece of hardware, the setup will need more space to store.

I have no problem with the LCD screen in -20 temp either... Your bigger problem will be the battery. My unit uses 2 6V lantern batteries, and they can last more than a whole day before recharging.

    Hey fisherboy,

Can you show me a picture? I do have suction cup tranducer, this might be really useful for me.

  10. I see in the flyer they have some on sale for up to 199.00 it sorta fits what I have to spend but I also don't want to buy junk so i'm looking for inpt on this

Hi, if you are talking about Artic Armor than it's definetely a good suit. Last weekend on ice fishing seminar we saw a pretty big movie about it. It's warm and it floats. It's not bulky - i am not sure how warm it's but in my mind it's really good price for really good thing. i would buy one myself, but i got ice armor extreme last year.
