Maybe I should put this on my new boat Tony.... Brand new and in the boathouse at the lake. Found "treasures" lol

Guess I won't run wide open up that river.....

Call the Midhurst office and find out for sure. Could be urban myth... 705-725-7614 It is the perfect spawning ground in there though...moving water and shallow...so MNR may have taken that into consideration when drawing the line years ago.

I guess three lads that have fished Gbay, out of the sound area, for over 20 years could very well be wrong...but better cautious than fined! I think the 69/400 bridge is to div 16/4 kinda like the railroad tracks are to Lake O and it's tribs. The locks would make more sense,,,but.....

Beats what he caught out of the same boat...but I guess that was the guides fault.

Hopefully they can stop the labour all together. 3 months premature is way too soon. Leah started going into Labour almost 5 months pre with our youngest, that was being discounted as a miscarriage by the nurses. Darn smart miscarriage she is...just finished her first year at Carleton in Architecture. She went full term and the only difficulty was getting Leah into Labour when the time came. Good luck to Andy and his lady.

Sounds about right...I remember the portable showing 108 or 112 feet throught most of the lakes mid section and was shaking my head thinking about all the idiots swimming from the beach to the island.

I was just gonna say...watch the sanctuary..but went to read the regs first. What do they call that area Andy...cause it ain't listed under Georgian Bay

Thats why I said before you jump...I can get you a better price than you calling them. They may have a new 2007 as well...didnt' see exactly what they brought in to meet their 2007 dealer quota as they were still wrapped.
-
It's a great boat and some of the guys here have the exact model. Before you jump let me know.... as I'm pretty sure my marina has a 2006 sitting in the showroom...

Yep Wayne's World...LOL

I've never looked to see what the generic "POP" brands offer in closed ends. Basically a pop rivet is exactly what John showed a picture of. They don't make a good shop head..but form a tube when the mandrel is pulled....that doesn't hold tight or seal well if at all. Avex, aircraft quality, rivets pull a nice tight shop head. Even the regular ones seal pretty good...heck my airplanes fuel tanks are made with them. Tank rivets have a solid bulb that becomes the shop head...mandrel is encapsulated and when they're pulled the mandrel breaks leaving a solid shop head and no thru hole. I buy 1/8" tank rivets in bulk (10,000 at a time) for less than 10 cents each, so why use inferior crap from CTC?

Just don't park in Terry's laneway to watch the fireworks ! I'll be thinkin of you Terry...while I fish and lie back in the boat watching the Temagami Fireworks display again this year. BTW...why we worrying about this...this year it's on Sunday!

Dang...now I know why I had the migraine.. Great stuff Roger!

I marked lots of deep stuff...possibly lakers on Lake of Two Rivers in summer of '04. Caught a bass or two...nothin else (didn't have what I needed for the lakers). Lake is a fair size and DEEP. Haven't fished the small lake right at Mews. Mews and Lake of Two Rivers are side by each...you can launch down at the beach at LOTR (if it's open that is!)
-
It's not what you are standing on...but what you are casting into.
-
I haven't had great luck YET. We'll be back home unfortunately when you'll be up there. Pickeral have spawned already on Lake Temagami and Cassels Lake...so they'll be out into deeper water by the time you get up there for sure. I'm hoping they are still holding close to the spawning areas when I get up..but cant' fish'm till the 19th unfortunately.
-
Please don't do the other 200 with those! Those aren't even good avex rivets..but cheap "POP" rivets. Are those 1/8" diameter? If so PM me a mailing address and I'll send you some tank rivets.

We're gonna kill the poor guys server...

5.7 litre = a 350 CU in GMC And 1legs about right with a mix of highway and city. Strictly highway...my trip to Ottawa from Penetang and back out to Carleton Place last Thursday... $93 & 1.05/litre...in my Sierra. Same running gear/weight etc as the Yukon. ..and what Terry said.
-
John...does the mandrel (nail) stick out both sides of those rivets you bought? If so I hope you rolled the tip in sealer before insertion or at least coated the back sides afterwards...and had cleaned/scotchbrited the surrounding alum so it bonds. Mandrels fall can out and then it looks like Moby Dic k s water spout after that! When I use blind rivets....I use "tank" rivets. The mandrel is encapsulated inside a solid plug and when pulled there is no hole if the mandrel wasn't there. When you can get at boths sides and have a willing helper then you can do solids like came out.
-
When you goin...I'll be up there from the 14th to 25th of May.

Is it a Springbok by chance? My f-in-laws leaked up there. Back in the day, 20+ years ago, when I was lazy/cheap/stupid enough to try the quick fixes thinking what the hay.... that spray on "leak fix" for plumbing and eve troughs they used to advertise on TV worked well... FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS. Doing it right won't cost anymore and will last many moons. Reset the rivets and if that isn't enough, scrub the seam area down between the keel and skin and put a thin fillet of Sikaflex down on the outside. Use a popcycle stick to fillet it nice between keel and skin. You can fill the gap on the inside if you wish..but may not even be necessary.

Andy...take some wood with you and build a set of bunks on the shore if it's deep enough. If not the anchor buddy is your best bet to keep the US bought treasure in good shape.

It don't turn off on the Matrix series..new in 2004
