Just wondering what stranage and rare fish you guys have pulled out of our lakes when fishing for other species? this could be interesting....

My flight leaves tomorrow night with 5 buddys...all of our first times going to montreal...cant wait to be in the bell center and hear how loud it is when GSP enters the arena!

Im going to go to caladonia on thursday in hopes of finding something crome lookin...have anyone been there lately? much water or really low like most places? thanks!

Im still really new with steal heading as this is only my 2nd season after them... I do have a great resourse tho! My uncle has been studying all trout for 26 years and he has a answers for any question I ever had so Im learing more in the last year then I did durring college

The steelhead cant come in quick enought!! Im looking out my living room window at the car and theres some front on the windsheild...thats a good sign! I will post how i did tonight after work, this time I cant wait to weed wack through the bush to get to the river

To be compleatly honest, From where I park i need to walk about 15 minuts through bush to get to the river and the entire time walking there I thought I was waisitng my time and thoguht I would just be getting bass(which i dont like fishing for much at all) but it was a great surprise to see the resident bows are active (really really active). I will be back there for 3 hours of fishing tomorrow night after work

Wtih only a few days remaining in trout season I went to my local trout steam today for one last go with my fly rod and the smaller trout for this year.... caught a the usual dozen baby rainbows and 2 small browns in the morning...the afternoon i decided to go down to the river and go for some resident rainbows and see if they where active yet or if I needed to wait a couple more weeks for them...well hell yes they where active!!! I landed 6 in 2 hours wiht 2 more getting off my line after a little fight. They are in my trout steam but the browns eat them...i hate catching them but toss them back for the browns to feed on

I actually just bought the 5 foot version of it yesterday...Im going out tongith but I think im gonna fly fish but i may try it.

No it was in a smaller stream/creek that connects to the grand river in southwestern ont

I thoguht I had a absolute trophy of a brown trout...i dont know if I was more shocked or disapointed when i saw its ugly face and relised it was a pike and not a 12 lb brown

I was at my trout steam today catching the normally e dozen small rainbows and seaching for the 5 or 6 pound browns that swim arond there when something big hit my line... It started to rip mine line out of the spool and when it came up every little bit it it looked really really long and skinny...when it got aroudn 10 ft from me i finally could tell it was a pike! the biggest one I have caught... 12 lbs i would guess...it was a beast in such a small stream. I have fished there for about 5 years or so and my uncle has been fishign there for 35 years and never have either one of us caught or seen a pike (and this one was a beast). Sicne he was eating my beloved browns I defended their waters and he didnt return to eat anymore but it was soooooo strange catching a pike in the trout steam!

My wifes family has a cottage in wasaga and i have dont lots of fishing but personally havnt had much luck besides the steelhead in the fall

I was out again this moring for a couple hours and the water has cleared up a little bit but still fairly dirty...im new to the salmon fishing...I have mostly only steelhead fished...im using the same approch with spoons, #3 meeps and some kwik fish...am I approching tnis the correct way? I havnt had a hit or seen a single fishg...im fishign at the sand banks in wasaga.

I have spent the last two days fishing for about 6 hours on the notty in wasaga.... I have had no luck...not a single fish...the water is super dirty, really dark brown...has anyone else been fishing the notty in the last couple days and had any luck at all?

In about 2 hours there last night and 2.5 tongith i didnt see anohter person...only problem is i was sweating my you know what off in the waders which i need inoder to get to that spot lol

So i live in cambridge and have never had any luck in the grand and had totally given up on that river for fishing. I talked to my uncle and he told me aobut a spot about 25mins from where i live that he use to fish when he was a kid 20 years a go... I didnt really want to go cause i didnt really like the grand except for one spot where i fish for steelhead. After about 15 mins of fishing i hooked into something that started riping my line off the real and jumping out of the water. I was shocked when i got it to see the biggest small mouth that i have ever caught in my life. I fished for about 2 more hours catching about another half dozen smallies averaging about 2lbs... This may be a stipid question but what kind of salmon run in the notty from wasaga? I have only ever fished for steelhead so this whole salmon thing is new to me.

So im off in two week..the week of Aug 14th...if we get a little rain next week would it be worth my time to spend a couple hours in the notty in wasaga and see if theres anything there yet?

I have only ever been a trout fisherman but im thinking this fall I am going to go out and try to get my first salmon...when do they leave georgian bay and go back into the nottawasaga river? I was thinking late september but thats a compleate guess

Im going to rice lake for the first time and just wondering where we can find a public place to launch our boat. we will be coming from cambridge so coming from toronto going to the lake... thanks for the help and any other tips/info you have would be a great help...thanks everyone! Derrick

Ya thanks I have looked into them and the main thing i was wondering about is if your smaller boat would be safe to take in these lakes. Thanks!
