So I have always loved fishing but untill last fall I had only caught bass and pike. My uncle, a life long steelhead and brown trout fisherman took me out and I caught my first steelhead and ever since then I have been addicted....
My uncle told me that I need to get a longer rod (i was using a cheap 5 ft rod) so today I bought a 10 ft shimanco convergence salmon/steelhead rod... I paid $79.99 for it... does anyone have any expeirence with this rod? Was that a OK price for it?
Thanks everyone~
Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone here has had any expeirence with natural sports in kitchener? How are their prices? I love going to bass pro but its a bit of a hike so if these guys have good prices I may look into it...thanks for the help!
Yes there are 2 lakes... bannister lake is on the north side of the road and wriglys lake on the south side... i thought it was no boats on either but i could be wrong...
you are allowd to fish from shore just there are no boats allowed in the last which is a same cause there are some big pike in there around the shore so im sure there are even more big ones in a lake that fair size
So it looks like I have one day tomorrow to go fishing at a local lake (banniser/wrigly lake in Ary ontario) before pike are closed for a couple months... I know they are a warm water fish but the last is very showell in most places being less then 10 feet deep everywhere...
Would some top water baits be the best worked slowly towards the weeds???
Any help would be awesome guys, thanks in advance!
I have been trying to find out some information about Watts Pond in Paris Ontario but no luck... does anyone here know anything about it... what the lake is like, types of fish in it(if any) and stuff like that? Thanks in advance!

Im heading up in the cottage this weekend in wasaga and I know there are still tones of big steel head in the river but I have never fished this late in the season. I was hoping to get some advice in terms of what to use and techniques... thanks in advance for the help!
