all the lakes we have tryed in out area we havnt had much luck (pushlinch, shads mill, pinehurts est...) so we just wanna head to a lake where we can catch some decent fish...would love some walleye but really we arnt too picky!

I was wondering about rice lake...is it ok for a smaller tin fishing boat...aslo where are their public boat lanch areas?

Myself and a buddy where going to go to lake couchiching next week for the day but after a post last week it sounds like our small 12 ft tin fishing boat my not be a safe way to go in that lake. Therefor we need somewhere else to take our smaller fishing boat....we like in Cambridge (KW) and dont really want to drive more then 3 hours or so...any idea on where we can go... Thanks for the help!!!

ya it sounds like i have some research to do...really i just wanna go somewhere and catch some fish...i dont really even care what kind!

OK well it sounds like we may have picked a bad lake to try... we live in cambridge so we dont want to drive any farther then 3 hours or so...any other recomendations for different lakes in our small boat?

hey everyone...myself and my buddy are planning on goung to lake couchinching for the frist time in 2 weeks for 2 days. I was just wondering if anyone can help out with any info the have about the lake? we where can launch our smaller boat (12 ft), what fish can we expect to find and where to go? thanks for any info or advice you may have!

I beleave that your old lure is one of my fav steelhead lures...a kwik fish...

I have always wondering about that lake...whats in there besides crappie and pike? Walleye, smallies and largies?

are there brooke trout in there or just rainbows and browns? and is there more rainbows or browns?

I tryed a spot on whitemans today...caught a couple very small rainbows but nothing to exciting...what is in the creek just small rainbows and browns???

Does anyone know anything about whitemans creek? I have heard some good things about it but cant seem to find any info on this site. any insite would be awesome, thanks guys!

thats a pritty fish.... You can never seem to see their red spots in pictures but they are what make them so pritty!

How would I add a single hook myself? The trebble hook seems to be in there pritty good..

The trout streem that I fish is about 90% sinble barbless hooks only. I have contacted mepps and they told me that everyone agila is available single hooks but I will need to special order them from my local retailer... I went in today to talk to them and they said they would order them for me but with a min order of 50. I dont want 50 right now plus I want a couple different colours so does anyone know where i can get #1 and #2 agilias in a single hook? thanks for the help!

I never would have guessed that there where steelhead in the grand untill i started fising for them this year and caught my first one today...about 4 or 5 lbs but some nice colours in it...also went to a local trout creek and caught 11 small rainbows and 2 small browns... all in all besides the sun burn it was a good day fising today! http://i845.photobucket.com/albums/ab12/drock6687/grandmay510.jpg

As some of you might have read in a previous post of mine I just bought a Shimano convergence 10ft rod for steelheading...now I need a reel for it and I would like to keep it around the $100 or less is possable...anyone have any suggestions?
