    G.

A freind a few years back was kinda in the same boat.I told him to look up and follow the geese. There going south and will lead him to water.A week later he showed up relaxed and refreshed.A road trip to nowhere and anywhere. If I end up in a divorce Im going to BC and back to fish every body of water I come across. There and back with boat in tow.A life long dream trip of mine. And no headaches in the other seat. Anyway,Lodge 88 give them a shout, flyin I beleive and good hosts from what I wastold from friends and seen on wfn.i HOPE THIS HELPS
  4. I managed to send my pics to photobucket.I tryied the img thing and nothing except for saring to specific sharing sites. What I would like to do specifically is to go from my photo on photobucket to lets see your boats post on OFC.Terry has been a great help so far,but there must be a problem on my end.Mind you I am not very good with computer lingo. Its sumwhat jibberish to me.Not much different than the old man on corner gas if you know what I mean. But that is what Im trying to accomplish and not getting anywhere. If I have to buy a stamp, paste it on the computer and make a photocopy, and then hit send, then thats what i will do.That would really screw the kids up :w00t::w00t: Or they may think Im a jerrys kid.Illdo that for a joke and see the reactions on there face.Cheers any specific help would greatly be appreciated.thanks in advance.V

  5. i have a membership at the soo michigan country club. my yank beer of choice is miller light. on a hot summer day golfing, it's a good substitute for the gatorade i'd normally drink :P
Canadian gatorade vs yankee miller.hmm,A light high on both to some degree. You have yourself a tie.I choose the gatorade.cheers and lakeport pilsner is also good for the price.Brewed here in the hammer.a buck a beer.Cant beat that.
  6. I'd like to say this. Fishing World has been a very generous supporter of our carp fishing club, I have never had a problem there and they have had some great sales on carp gear. This is light of the fact that carp tackle is a very small part of their business. Sometimes employees get the wrong message and screw ups happen because of it.
From what Ive seen around,I think they have the best selection around for carp fishing. The only shop ive seen with a section dedicated to carp fishing.I wonder if govt is suplimenting them for promoting it.Sorry my friend I would like to see them disappear entirely from the lakes in ontario. But on a nicer note I did fish for them in italy and ate them also.Sundried, salted and frozen.you name ive probably tryied it,and loved it.And the bait we used were snails.Local snails thats it.nothing else. These carp wee small and were bluish/grey in tone.Sicily is where we fished for them in a resevoir.
  7. don't forget beer!

i can buy "imported" blue for cheaper than "domestic" blue, even when i pay duty!

now if you guys could just learn how to make beer!

Youre better off buying blue from the home front no matter the savings. They just dont make it like we do.There is only one beer that could top price and quality.Apub a few years back in niagara fall N Y,had Bud Ice on tap for 4bcks canadian a pitcher(a promo). It was good and comparible to our brew.

The mixs and the rest sucked.I polished a twelve of blue from there and needed to go back to canada for a real brew.It only took a sip of one, then I was happy.Ill pay the extra for a home land brew anytime.

  8. That happens with any carrier from time to time.. All I can tell you is normal Fedex charges $7 brokerage no matter the value. UPS can be anywhere from $15 to $90 and there's no rhyme nor reason to it! Fedex Freight... I had them here on Wednesday with a single acrylic aircraft windshield in a cardboard box.. arrived mint.. although it wasn't mine! lol... that little issue was cleared up around 3:45 PM Wednesday and the company I bought it from shipped my carton of 5 windshields that night, or Thursday am, from Pittsburg PA and I received it today at 2pm. Again in mint condition. I consider that some darn good service considering time of day to get the shipment out... the guys I bought from had to contact my import broker in Barrie.. they had to send the information back to Fedex and the border for pre-clearance etc.

A favour owed would still require customs clearance... unless the driver is real brave in this day and age to get held up at the border.

Then again.. why are we discussing this just because Albert's too cheap to just ship the stuff!! :D

What you never seen swivel seats in a rig?Esp when there are no lot lizard signs on the doors.. :whistling::whistling: I do have a customer with boat seats in his truck, there for company as I was told in the bunk.Well on the cheap note irish I was down on my luck one day on a river and an ofner helped me out,I owe him for doing so but his reply was you would do the same. And I will. Now I can.Its my turn to help a fellow ofner in some manner.
  9. If you really want it... money is no object!
No pun intended but that float tube,He must really want one and money is an object :whistling: Just kiddin I thought about that many times. The one we did was anything that floats, tye it to a picnic table and go.It worked, not for long.geeze I may be a redneck and dont know yet.Damn larrys in T O tonight and again I missed it.

    :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

  10. Use Fedex Albert... $7 brokerage vs UPS's crown and anchor wheel !
An 18 wheeler and a tracking device, favors owed are better odds for making the trek up here.Ive had a few problems with shipping fed x etc, took out insurance on it,triple the value and collect all three times esp with canada post. :w00t::w00t: send in an item for waranty to bc and comes back damaged. When clearly marked fragile and in a pastic tube.Came back bent everytime and waranty was void due to damages upon receiving it.
  11. Is anyone going to Virginia in the next month or two? I have a set of Ranger seats that I need picked up and brought back.
I will ask some of our clients if there headed that way,if so I can arrange a pick for you seats to be brought back to the hammer.AS long as it not out of their way.Maybe coordinate things with aplumma down there.Ill give you a heads up if a driver is headed that way.
  12. I guess it depends who's having a good day at BPS. I found a Daiwa reel online in the LeBaron catalog, I printed it out, it didn't even say LeBaron on the print out and they honored it no questions asked.

As for Fishing World they have some great people working there, but I usually go to Bill's Baits.

That is true fishing world does have good people there, esp the old man I call pops.Everyweekend at 5am he has a smile and a story to tell, and very greatfull. You should see him go at the binny hardwater tourney.2 years ago he almost blew up the deepfryer. No fault of his own, just a back fire.Well a big boom.He must of pooped his pants for sure, but he kept going to feed the folks with the fresh fish.
  13. I was in there today, the service was slow, really unussual. The attitude was not very enthusiastic at all.I ran into a mate that owns a shop in the city,I said and quote,I ll be at your place for a few things and return what I purchased here.Up to a couple years ago I would walk in and ask your the real price is and always got a decent discount, always.not now, mind you im not buying big right now.I will take my bigger spending to bills bait(a great bunch there and more personable)the disc isnt as big but their service is fabulous. If they cant help then lebarons. No more bps for me really not happy with them at all.Brought a lebarons cat in for price comparison on a mustang suit, the cat was for the next year and prices adjusted.BPS told me that those prices and catalogue are OUT OF DATE FOR THEM TO MATCH OR BEAT.HELLO """"""""BPS """"""""IT WAS OCTOBER AND IT WAS THE FOLLOWING YEARS LEBARONS CATALOGUE.On that note my raven float rod was 40 bucks more at BPS than fishing worlds price and that was a year after I bought it.
