I will take a pic of it shortly.

Ok, for the techs, I have another question for you guys. When I replaced my started, the #s on the old one matched up at the auto supply shop and they had one in stock
. Great I took it
and cheap, not thinking at the time, that some
put an automotive one in
.
Now here is where it gets interesting. I pulled the 2yr old starter out an the housing is cracked, great, no problem!
So I googled my engine for a starter #
Then I went to double check the teeth on the gear. On most sites the advertised an 11 tooth but I counted mine its a 9 tooth
Could this have caused it to crack? I dont have the formula in front of me and I know I have counted the ring gear teeth and wrote it down somewhere, just in case 3 yrs ago.
From what I do recall the serial # starts with a 3. Which makes it an earliar model engine. For about a decade that engine uses the same starter. One short and one long bolt.
Thanks in advance

Awesome report Dan
I couldnt resist to take the pic
The kids will grow up to be great fishermen, in sure

Ive heard about walleye in there, but have never seen it myself. ive only caught crappie and small LMB out of there. i see pike get caught there often.
as for C&R while some people obey these rules,at binbrook ive seen people ignore them more often then not. kids that work there pretty much shrug their shoulders when its mentioned to them. what can ya do.
If you can find the clouds of baitfish on your ff, them Im sure that are there. But in all my years of fishing there, my pb is 9 lbs. But that was many moons ago. Ive caught a few others as well much smaller. But there is plenty food for them. So your chances are slim as to catching one.
There a lots of decent size bass and crappy in there as well.
My biggest thing is, is that the park doesnt open early enough. Heres a ff pic that fustrated me for a while one day last year

You have a good eye. My new Princecraft Starfish with Merc 40HP gets me and the wife and gear, doing 32 mph on GPS,and we aint no teeny people either
So there you go Skinny, your tinner runs fine and gets up to speed without any hesitation. And it trolls nicely and steady at the target speed I was looking for
Why mess up a good thing.
If your looking for more speed, then a prop change up would be ideal. But then again you would be up a little in the trolling speed.
Leave it as it is, its not a race boat
My boat with gear and two people, 40 mph. But I only want 30mph for the engines sake.
-
My condolences to you and your family

24 mph and Im not sure if Tim had the throttle wide open.
My old 40 gale soverign outboard was about the same in the glass boat i had.

For GMAN
Dad has taught you too well
WTG Bro, keep it up and dads going snoozing while you catch all the fishies
-
Shad then
-
In time you find out, why stress about it? You were on fire today
-
That would be a Shad.
I'd also be willing to venture you were ice fishing the lower Grand River.
Nope, much closer to your neck of the woods
I always thought that they were called alewifes because of the annoyance while fishing.
-
The hole is 10 inchs, that will give you an indication of its size. Other than that to settle differences on what we call this little critter, I say alewife because they can be annoying at times
-
Atleast you get to keep yer mancard.
Thanks for the report.
Dan Dan Dan,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Well Dan,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I say he can have his man card this time

My hungry little fella

I headed off today to meet up with skinny, pike and perch were on my mind. Pike was my main focus, and a little perching afterwards.
We had a few followers of the toothy critters, 4 on and self released, 1 in the boat and a big one that followed my bait and took a nibble
Trolling along we did manage a few unharmed and released oos bass, and a few surprises
Skinny nailed a bluegill with a
(he can post the pic). I was consistant with my lure and managed a nice 10 incher from it.
Well after a while we stopped for perching and met up with Dan and his boy
Boy oh Boy can that boy of dans tell a fish story
It was that big he said, with open arms and a great big smile
After a few minutes I noticed dan with some funny fishing poll in his hand and I couldnt resist to take the pic.
A picture says a thousand words I say

just before the entrance to the long point provincial park entrance - take old cut blvd north off of erie blvd, then right on roger's ave
Albert you will also see a small marine shop on rogers ave on the right. The ramp is right there beside it. There is also another one further down the rd.

An added measure I did with the marine plywood I installed in my boat. Was that I coated the plywood with fiberglass resin for extra protection. Solid as a rock.
