To bad the fishing and hunting was slow for you!
Still looks like you guys had a blast thought!

I'm assuming this is the Little Verimillion lake in northen Ontario?
That should get a few more ducks on the move, heading my way!
Thanks for posting the pictures.
I alway enjoy this time of year. A few more weeks and Drifter will be doing some ice riding!

Good to see you got'm tho
At one point we must have had 40 birds all hit the water at the same time within 80 yards of the blind. It was total mayhem.
Going again this weekend. Usually the migration lasts a week or tow at our blind.

I just googled "propane tank wood stove" and there are some interesting ideas out there. Looks like it would work pretty good.
If you do decide to make one, be sure to post up the results
You might want to PM Skipper D. He has a nack for that sort of stuff

Nice suprise for sure eh!
Thanks for posting the pics.
I wonder how big they get in Erie?
-
I feel like doing the same thing with my weed eater. Likely just needs a carb tune up...But I like your idea beter!

Well done, nice bunch of birds. Your boy sure is growing fast!
Thanks Solo. 5 weeks and he can push himself up! He's doing great
Those ringers are quick little buggers though, so I know what you mean!
No kidding. They sound like little fighter jets

Good shootin'
Thanks!
But I have to be honest with you. I haven't made it out skeet shooting this year. It took 75 shells to drop those 12 birds...

Welcome aboard.
There was a good post a while back from a guy named "Letsgofishing". Everyone got together and made a nice list of items one should take with them on a back packing canoe trip in to the bush.
That should get you started.
Here's the link.

My weekend started out with me granting my wife her one and only thanksgiving long weekend “wish”. She wanted 5 hours “Baby-free”. So from 6:30 till 11:30, I got to spend some good 1 on 1 time with the boy.
See what happens when the wife lets me dress him!
Some tummy time. He’s determined!
This is 7 years in a row I have gone duck hunting on Thanksgiving morning. 2 Years we’ve been at the new blind, and we’ve limited out 2 years in a row! This year was a fantastic shoot. We literally had a ringneck fly between me and my hunting partner, he was 4’ away from me. His wing almost touched my face.
Just to make this a bit of a fishing report. I hit Orr lake for an hour on Saturday evening, and got the old SKUNK…
Had a nice little visit from GBW as well. Nice to put a face to the name! Hopefully you managed to wet a line some time on the weekend Geoff!

Wow man. Some serious tanks there.
-
I don'y have any nice expensive combos!
So if my boat was sinking, I'd be twirling those wing nuts on the 9.9 trying to save something worth a few bucks
-
Great shot! Sure wish the colours in my bush looked like that. All the leaves this year just died and fell to the ground. No really nice colours.

I guess you can give up on sleeping the next few nights!! Counting jumping muskeys
What a monster Ben. Congrats on the spread.
-
Who's the kid with the net?
Nice shots!
-
That's horrible. Young guy. Too young.

Incredible video!!! That dood was very brave!
To me, the moose sounded pretty exhausted and or very stressed out. Who knows how long it was fighting the swingset???
Ya, the moose is spent. By the time a full blown resuce team would have came, that moose might have been close to dead.
It sure was breathing heavy, and his tung was hanging out of it's face.
Just look at how many times the chains where wrapped around. The moose might have been there for hours. Who knows.
-
That sure is one tough swing set!
I would have thought that moose would have ripped it out of the ground.

If the rivets are accesible on both side, try tightening them first.
If they can not be tightened any more, then drill and replace them.
If you don't want to go thru the hastle, then find out which rivets are leaking as use something like 3M 5200, or Gluvit, and dab that on the leaking rivets.
-
You sure are getting dialed in on the underwater camera! Great shots
-
Great report!
That's gunna make one heck of a good tasting meal!!
Two of my favourite table fair
-
Man oh man.. I'm not a bass fisherman, but I enjoyed that report!
Awesome pics!
