  1. Big thanks to Blair for the excellent hospitality (and the beer) :good: and of course TJ for the awesome swag (currently enjoying my mug).

The fishing was good, and the company was even better. Always nice to meet OFC'ers

Swag.. I've always wanted some OFC swag.. Big thanks to TJ for dropping that stuff off!

And thanks Blair for setting things up, and letting me use the shack for the night.

It was great to pull a nice hog through the ice. Measured it at almost 25", and figure it was about 5lbs. Big fat belly.

My batteries ran dead on my camera, so I only have 1 decent picture, and that's of me.

The nighttime cell phone / flashlight picture of the walleye didn't turn our good at all. I tried to get my foot in there for a comparison.. She looks a little rough, but she swam off strong..

  2. If you can make it PM NAW for the accomodations. Maybe you two could split the room and save some cash? I am open to someone (up to 2 people) spending the night in my hut. It is warm and you would be the guinnea pig....oops...I mean first to try out the new beds. Maybe catch a biggun over night?

I would love to overnight it in your hut. I'll bring bells for my rod, and a bottle of scotch!

Sign me up for that. For sure!

  3. We're all just a bunch of generous winter lovin canucks here eh!

As soon as I'm done work, I'm gunna blow my driveway, and the elderly ladies beside me.

This is her second Ontario winter. Moved here from Kelowna BC. She tells me this year she's going to get me a bottle of wine from an Okanagan winery.. Sounds tasty. Didn't think you could get it in Ontario, but she says she's found a place in Barrie..

  4. My son and I wre scanning some other sites regarding fishing. :wallbash::wallbash:

This is why we are so proud to be a member of this board. It is like night and day. This board stands out and way above the others. After scanning the others and it was only for 2 to 3 minutes getting back to the OFC was like coming home after being on the road for 3 weeks.

TO EACH AND EVERY FELLOW MEMBER YOUR THE BEST. THANKS TJ as well for all you do. :worthy::worthy:

What.. You mean like the LSMB as of lately :whistling:

A big thanks to the Mods here.. You guys are great!

  5. When I ran my guide biz I used to set guys up at a resort on Rice Lake. Then I would guide them for wallye and bass on Rice and then a day or two out of Port Hope for Salmon/Trout.

Maybe they can get set up on Rice at a place and I can forward you some guides info for Rice and Lake O if you like.

    Just an option.

I was thinking the same thing. Kawartha eyes one day, Simcoe smallies for another, Lake O salmon/trout. Maybe go for some Muskies one day too :thumbsup_anim: Show these guys what Ontario fishin is all about eh!

Feel free to PM some good guides in these areas.

  6. I need some advice.

I have a very big customer at work that loves fishing. He’s coming up to Ontario the last week of July for a fishing trip with his family.

    Here are the details:

1 week cottage / resort rental

Looking for around $1000 a week

    Last week in July

1-2 hours from Toronto (His wife and daughter want to shop..)

    Fishing must be good

He’ll either want to rent a boat, or be taken out by a guide. I’m sure he’s open to options.

Does anyone know of some good places that fit that above criteria? I’m hoping for some comments from people with first hand experience. I want this guy and his family to have a great time.

I would really like to get a list of places for him to choose from.

    Any thoughts??

  7. My first trip to LoB in the winter. What a difference compared to Simcoe. It was to quiet and peaceful.

Ended the day with two small Lakers. Both about the same size. Weighed one, and it was 1 lb 11oz. Great for the table.

Caught one on minnows, and the other on a large silver Williams with a pearl on the hook.

It was such a nice day out there. Got a bit of a tan.

    Here's me with my two

Thanks for showing me that spot Northque! We'll have to hit it again this year.

  8. How many OFC'rs feel the same?

No offence, but when I first read this post, i thought it was a joke.

Sure. You're cat Fluffy is going to have to adjust to it's new owners. But atleast it's still alive right..

I don't want to sound harsh, But animals do not have the same feelings as humans.
