I responded to an ad on Kijiji last week the guy finally got back to me. Guy says he is out of town and won`t be back for a couple of weeks so I says fine I will look when you get back,he then comes back and says his trip has been extended so now he won`t be back until May but he can sell me the boat and E-Bay can broker the deal all I have to do is send the money to E-Bay and it will be held by E-Bay until the transaction is complete. I ask him why the boat was for sale on E-Bay last month and sold for 17 grand sellers location(Witchita Kansas)and now he wants to sell it in Toronto for 13 Grand. I think I am just going to turn all this over one of my law enforcement buddies and see if they can to do anything with this scumbag. I find strange how people actually fall for these scams. The search continues.

I have been talking to a couple of dealers in the States this weekend and they seem very eager to find me a boat,one guy said he has as many Canadian customers these days as American and they handle all the paper work. I just have do the math to see to see what the savings(looks like they could be substantial)and of course find the time to drive down.

I think the mods should ban fishing reports all together! Ya say The Bog and the shore angler get pissed,take a picture of a rock on a river bank and the trout guys get pissed,take a picture with a cottage in the background and the boat anglers get pissed,say you caught a Walleye with a spinner bait and another group gets pissed,mention a spot on a lake and some guide gets his shorts in a knot. Gotta love todays selfcentered all about me people and the ones using the resource to cash a cheque seem to be the worst.

I agree it`s digusting, shore fishing area`s usually look like landfills but shorefishermen don`t have the market cornered ever see a wind swept shoreline full of bait containers,beer cans,lure packages etc.alot of boat annglers are just as bad, kinda looks like a neighbourhood that is near a high school!!!

this is not bad new 2008 Lund 1750 outfitter with a 50hp 2 stroke, not crazy about the motor and no rod locker but the price is right! 12 grand or so.

You know as much as I would like to support the local economy it may be tough given whats available at the local dealerships. I am finding that there is very little stock available and the prices are nothing to get excited about. The common theme is sorry sir we don`t have that model in stock but we can order it, well I know you can order it but I want to sit in it and I want to kick the tires. I am expanding my search to included Michigan,N.Y,Ohio and IL, pricing is far better and there seems to be more variety and stock down south. I am somewhat concerned about the warranty issues and that may be the deciding factor whether I buy in the States or here. Have a look at these two examples, And to add a different style of boat, The Lund is from upstate New York and I can get it for 11 grand it comes with a 25 4 str. The Starcraft is from a local dealer I can get it for 12 grand it comes with the same 4 str. The G3 is from the Chicago area and I can get this for 11,500 it comes with a 75 Yamaha 4 str. it is a 2007 new/old stock. The Lund is a far better boat than the Starcraft for a grand less and the G3 is great deal. So the search continues.

Sure is big, using those homes as a scale I`d say the boat is about 50 feet long. Are you sure that dinky motor will push it? Nice set-up.
