You look at all the teams that are starting to be competative and sucessful what is the common theme young highly drafted kids, just look at Pittsburgh,Washington,Chicago,Tampa etc. for the most part these teams were built with draft picks and the odd free agent thrown in for some depth. So along comes Mr.Burke and says I am smarter than everybody else and I don`t want be bad for 3 years so I am going to trade and buy my way to contender status.Well here`s a news flash for you Mr.Burke you still stink you trade away 3 draft picks for a guy who is better suited for the Battle of the Blades the the NHL,Kessel grow a pair you puss! Over paying a bunch of mediocre free agents and trading for a few more average Joes is not going to make the Leafs a contender,the same applies for all the other middle of the pack teams.

Kessel needs to take that skirt off and grow a backbone!!! I mean lets be real Kessel has proven that he can score 30 or so goals and total 50-60 points a year, I think you guys are kidding yourself if you think this guy is ever going to put up Crosby,Ovei,Stamkos type numbers and BTW way Macarthur,Versteeg,Armstrong are career 30-50 point guys what do you Leaf fans expect from them, all of sudden because they have a Toronto postal code they become stars? The problem we have here(Ontario) is the people are as dumb as bricks and keep voting for the tax and spend Liberals and then they get pissed and vote for the Conservatives and when the conservatives start cutting and tell them to get off their lazy they get mad again and vote Liberal again. As some may recall I did the Champix program and I have been smoke free for nine months and the bad cravings are pretty much gone and that along with not be a slave to the nicotine cravings is great feeling, however the downside is I feel terrible I gained 25 pounds my clothes don`t fit always out of breathe and no get up and go.It really sucks when you have a hard time putting your bloody socks on in the morning. So I made a pack to loose 40-50 pounds part of the motivation was provided by my doctor she said I look like most other mid fifties heart attack candidates,so to that end I started a low carb diet on Monday and joined Good Life Fitness and I already feel better and have lost 9 pounds already, it feels much better getting out in the morning or after work and doing a work-out instead of jumping on the lazy boy and destroying a bag of Doritos and washing them down with a bag of jelly beans!! Going to Jamaica in February and my goal is fit into a Speedo! just kidding a normal bathing suit without all the rolls of blubber will do.

Hate is a strong word and I can only apply it to Philly and of course the Bruins, when the habs are down and out I like to see the Leafs do well.

Okay so the new house we moved into recently has electric BB heating and that equals $$$ and no air conditioning. So I have contacted a couple of contractors about ductless systems that cool the air and also operate as a heat pump to help offset the EBB costs. I was quoted 8,300 dollars I almost fainted, keep in mind my house is very small the same system in the good ole US of A would cost about half that, now given where the Canadian dollar sits I think double the price is criminal. I`d buy the system in the States if I can find somebody to install it. If there are any HVAC guys on the board contact me maybe we can do some business!
