  1. I will use my truck when it is available, but the jetta is inquestion will be used when the truck is not availabl. When the jetta will be used, trips will be at most 2 hrs.
  2. Ran into some bad info: Vessel = 725 lbs Gas = 25lbs? Motor = 180lbs Trailer - 590 lbs Batteries (2) = 30 each? Accessories = 50lbs (trolling motor, 2 fish finders) I'm slightly over 1500lbs, is this ok?
  3. Went to: Service Ontario - Paid 8% tax on cost of trailer + $35 Fee (included plate) Service Canada - Transfer title, no cost. I asked about tax on the vessel and motor and they said never charged tax at service Canada
  4. yup, I got that one.
  5. isn't launching it more of weight distribution and tongue weight capacity issues?
  6. 24" pythons here ... hogan style
  7. Just purchased my first bass boat and I know my truck will be able to tow it very easily being a work truck that tows heavy duty equipment for work, but my question is can my 2006 VW Jetta take the load? I understand that it won't tow as my truck, but I'm trying to see if it'll be ok if I tow my ~1200lb rig (15' boat, 40HP Johnson + gas). The owners' manual says 1500lbs is max towing capacity. Hitches I've seen for the car are rated to 2000lbs. The 2006 VW Jetta is a manual gearbox TDI, so torque it has, but enough to tow and launch my boat with my front-wheel drive car on good launches? Opinions? Thanks in advance.
  8. Private deal 40HP engine
  9. So I think I've found the boat, but I'm unsure what the tricks and steps are. I remeber reading on here to have the receipts massages to have the motor vs boat vs trailer and have them priced according on a reciept. Also, what needs to be registered and insured. What are the steps? Let's say I see the boat and like what I see ... where do I go from there? Thanks in advance.
  10. Any results from the bass tournament? Thanks in advance
  11. I have a garmin 255 that I use everyday for work. I bought the european maps on sd card which will work in all garmin units. I am planning on selling it after using it for 4 days in france. I'll be back in time for when you need it. I paid over $150 + tax for it. I plan on taking a small hit when reselling it. Would you be interested in buying in? you can sell it after you use it too as it'll be cheaper than buying it yourself for $100 US$ and downloading it on your own unit which can't be re-sold. Email me at [email protected] if you're interested as I won't be on here for a few weeks. Mark

  16. HA! No, thanks a lot for trying to help.
  17. I see all kinds of aluminums for sale and I understand that more deep v's or modded v's are sold, but I see maybe 1 or 2 jon's sold all spring. Any idea as to why?
  18. I've looked on google maps and have a topo map also. Looking for some actual experience here. Thanks
  19. Been there before in the past and haven't had much luck at all. Anyone willing to help? Either on here or PM. I've tried PM'ing a few people with some advice and doing a lot of searching on the net and OFC, but not much luck. Thanks in advance
  20. I'm looking at this boat as my first boat. Any opinions? Looks very well built. What can't I find this boat or any jon's really used? Everyone and their uncle selling their aluminum, but never a jon.
  21. Starting my search for a jon boat, so I'm lookig at a list of manufactuers. I've only seen Trackers and Lunds around, so I'm not sure if the others are sold. Please let me know what companies are sold in Canada Also, any feedback or experiences on these is appreciated.
  22. Would this citca reel and this clarus here ( http://www.gagnonsports.com/fathersdaysale.html ) be a good fit?
  23. I agree, I think I can get away and run a 7'mh rod, not a fast tip and use it for frogs and jerkbaits. 20lb pp green or heavier.
  24. use 20 lb pp green moss and spool as per the instruction on the pack. I'm not sure why I'm getting knots. I'm not sure if it's my reel throwing loops or if it's I'm reeling in slack or semi-slack line.
