Lots of small real small lakes around Perth are locked up pretty good. Be careful.

My fiancé got me a portable shelter this year my first portable. I've had a 8x5 permy on simcoe for years but now that I live in kw. It just didn't make any sense. I got the otter twin hub II haven't taken it out of the box yet but I think I'm going to break it in on the 27th with a trp up north to a Huntsville back lake. Any reviews? I didn't find many online.

Just walked in, got a late start fished 2-5. Nice vis. On the river I was on. Nothing like chocolate milk About 2 ft of vis. Lots of fish swimming around but they wanted nothing to do with roe, so I switched it up to a 1/16 jig head and a 2inch gulp minnow under the float and went 2/4 the last hour I was there. Sorry no pics I was solo . Still haven't figured out how you guys get the fish to stay still So you can take a picture mine always flop around like crazy.. Nice to see some water in the river finally. And it wasn't that cold guys, I've had much colder sitting on the snowmobile parked in the middle of lake simcoe.

Let me know where. Out of Ibp. it's a pretty far treck to most of my honey holes but I'm sure between us we have enough sleds,n four wheelers to make it happen.

A camp I stay at up north said it only cost him 40k for solar system to run 7 cabins. I was amazed. He said it payed for itself the second year not having to run 3 hours round trip into the local gas station every two weeks for diesel for the generator.

I'm up there allot too once the big lake freezes. Don't care much for perch. But they will eat anything. Whites, I like a spreader on the bottom nicely balanced on a tip up. And I usually have a Williams or lipless crank down the other hole. I like 60-85 feet for steady action on the whites. Sometimes deeper but usually no need that's where the greasers hang out anyways lol.

Just finished tieng up some roe, I'm on vacation haven't fished in over a month, you guys can't talk me out of it. If I'm the only one out there that means more fish for me!

Screw it , I'm coming anyways. I have a few sheltered spots that will work out. What's the worst that can happen, I get cold, and snowed on and enjoy a few hours fishing and get skunked. Sounds better than sitting on the couch to me.

Thanks for the heads up, casting in 71 km/h winds don't seem like much fun. I checked the temps but not the wind. Looked nice mix of sun and cloud -3 , lol not so much with those gusts
