I have a Diawa spinning combo, came with a walleye tackle kit. The funny thing is, i havent caught one walleye on it. But its lasted me I believe 4 years now. Very durable rod, its been bent a couple of times, but it was fixed.

I think my highlight of the year was my very first muskie. I unfortunately didn't do as much fishing as expected this year, but the muskie was a real treat for me. I think though that 09 is going to be my best fishing year for me, and i plan on hitting some new lakes, catching some new fish, and land that big trophy as well. those are my main goals for 09 fishing.

Seeing as it is the end of 2008, I was just curious as to what everyone's, what i like to call, "Catch Of The Year"? What was the largest, heaviest, longest, or best fish they caught in 08? Add a pic of the fish if you have one available!!!

Mike, try out a Strike King Weedless Bitsy Bug #15 Cajun Crawfish with a Big Fish Natural Scent C-Tail. Now, the only problem is that the C-Tail that I have hooked up was bought in Florida, however, you can use any curly tailed grub or what ever you like, however, try to stick to the same colors as the jig you use .. but then again, never be afriad to try out new color combinations

I caught my very first muskie this year!! .. but unfortunately I lost him as I was pulling him onto the dock... I didn't get a picuter.... and he took my lure But I hope to catch more in the new year, and aim for an even bigger ski than the first one.

We deffinately got to hold a tourny next year as well

Well Mike... im glad that you had a successful year, and hopefully, next year you and I will be able to do lots of fishing together . Perhaps catch that big trophy of a life time... and... you have to start ice fishing next year!!!!!! Gotta take advantage of the year round fishing!!!!!
