  1. Here's a question for you.

    Is it a 4 stroke?

If so check the low oil switch.

If you have a problem with the switch or oil pump the low oil system shuts down the motor.

So if your low oil switch is showing a short it will shut down the system not allowing it to start.

So you have another place to look.

Try disconecting the wire connected to the low oil switch, if it then start replace the switch and giver'. :D

  2. HMMMMMMMMMMM............................kinda sounds like Elvis all over again.

    Michael Jackson's death considered homicide

Coroner found lethal levels of propofol

    Last Updated: Monday, August 24, 2009 | 10:55 PM ET Comments120Recommend103CBC News

Michael Jackson, shown in November 2007, begged for the drug propofol to allow him to sleep, his doctor said. (Danny Moloshok/Associated Press)A report by the Los Angeles coroner reveals there were lethal levels of the powerful anesthetic propofol in Michael Jackson's blood, according to a search warrant affidavit unsealed Monday in Houston, Texas.

The coroner is calling the pop star's death a homicide, a law enforcement official said Monday, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The coroner's report has still not been officially released, but the coroner determined Jackson died of a fatal combination of drugs, including propofol, on June 25, according to the official. Two other sedatives were also found in his blood.

The fact that the coroner considers the death a homicide makes it more likely criminal charges will be filed.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray, who has a practice in Houston, admitted giving Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol just before his death.

Propofol is a powerful anesthetic administered intravenously in operating rooms to induce unconsciousness, and it is unusual to see it administered in a private home.

The star had demanded the drug to induce sleep, Murray told police, according to the affidavit.

He also told police he feared Jackson was forming an addiction to the drug and had tried to wean him off it over a period of weeks by giving him a lower dose and using other drugs.

The doctor told police he gave Jackson Valium at 1:30 a.m. and injected lorazepam intravenously at 2 a.m. on the day he died. When Jackson was still awake at 3 a.m. on June 25, Murray administered midazolam.

Then at 10:40 a.m., Murray administered 25 milligrams of propofol after Jackson begged for the drug.

Murray told police he left Jackson alone so he could make telephone calls to his Houston office and family members. When he returned, he discovered Jackson was not breathing and performed CPR.

Jackson was pronounced dead in hospital shortly afterward.

Murray's lawyer, Edward Chernoff, said in a statement late Monday his client never told detectives he left Jackson and returned to find he had stopped breathing on June 25.

Police detectives saw about eight bottles of propofol in Jackson's home, but also other drugs for inducing sleep such as Valium, tamsulosin, lorazepam, temazepam, clonazepam, trazodone and tizanidine.

Police said they could find no evidence that Murray had purchased, ordered or obtained the propofol, according to the search warrant affidavit.

In addition to Murray, the singer had prescriptions from doctors Arnold Klein and Allan Metzger and from physicians in Germany.

  3. Hmmm....I'd have to pick Dave Mercer, JP Derose and Pete Maina all in the same boat all fishing for tarpon cause a double header would be a total blast.

Ohh....and we'd need Roy there on the flydeck directing traffic.. that would be some fun times.

It may just not have seated properly, but mat with a short trip or two.

A little leakage isn't going to matter, IMO.

But if it continues it might be something to look at closer.

I do appreciate the kind words and I'm pleased to know that you all like the rods.

I suppose I'm the fortunate one though as I have owned dozens of Spiel custom rods. :D

    I'm pretty fortunate too!!!

  7. where do you head out from and what like 300 ft deep?

I used to fish it out of Pt. Credit. Run out to 260' and start trolling South to deeper water.

When you find fish work the area.

  8. You don't need flouro. Go to a tack shop and get a spool of Maxima Ultragreen leader material, its like 4 bucks for a 25 yard spool and the stuff is STRONG. I use the 4lb and 5 lb test all you need is 12- 18 inches of it under a swivel on your float set up. Some people swear by flouro but I think the guys that float fish with me and use flouro would agree that that they don't outfish me often...its pretty much 1:1

I agree & use 4,6 and 8# Ultragreen for leader material.

I only use flouro in very clear situations. One that immediately comes to mind is Wilmot when it's running at normal or below normal flows.

Under these conditions I find that flouro will outfish mono.

    Just my .02

  9. I have dipsy divers but im not a fan. Im looking to troll the 18-23 foot shelf no deeper

They are adjustable you know. ;)

Another option is leadcore or even banana sinkers in line.

There is no way you will get a J13 Rapala or salmon spoon down 18'-23' without weight or a diving planer unless you are drifting. :D

Right now you really want to be in 60'-120' right now the shallows doesn't really start happening for a few more weeks.

This all changes should you have a couple of days of strong North winds.

Then anywhere from shore out should produce until the wind turns and blows the warm water back in.
