The H2O from Lowrance is now discontinued. Anybody know where I may be able to purchase one? New or used would work. I contacted Lowrance and they suggested I try some Canadian Tire stores for old stock. The stores around my area do not have any but I'll keep trying.
Cheers.
Try ebay.

You ideally want it at the bottom of the ice as the ice can mess up the return echo.
This is especially true up here where the ice can get over 5 feet thick!!!!

Might be tough to get in Ontario.
See if you can find whole herring.
Here are a couple of places you can contact.

Yep, a 1" piece of rebar with a chunk of 2"X3"X3/8" plate welded to the end and sharpend does the trick for me.

Here is how I had my LMS-350 set up for portable use.

I just built one out of wood.
Removal time is just a couple of minutes.

I have one of each.
A 3 man (better for 2) pop up and a Frabill Trekker II.
I use the pop up early in the season when I have to walk on and switch to the flip over when the ice gets safe for snowmobile travel. My buddy nad I hauled out my flip over by hand and it was a hell of a lot of work. If travelling on foot I would not suggest a flip over, even a light one like the Trekker II. IMHO

Drifter...I hope you don't mind if I ask something a little off topic.
Most aerosol cans and paint labels I've seen say "keep from freezing". I have an unheated shed which I go through in the fall and remove things like that to a heated environment. I see you don't seem to worry about that too much. If you can get away with it with the length/intensity of winter you get up there, I shouldn't have to worry about it down here, right? Or are those empty cans under the bench in that pic?
Just curious...thanks.
Nope they're not empty.
The only things you need to bring inside would be water based or if it says keep from freezing on the can.

At 1221 right now and an 80 vote lead.
I'm sure that won't last long though.

hows that portable bbq?
wondering how it fares out for 40 bucks.
It's actually pretty decent for the $$$
My last bbq was similar but stainless and 2 1/2 times the price and this one cooks more evenly but the paint on the lid is starting to get burned looking already.

Thats incredible !!! I would be dead in 20 minutes if i lived up there
Got to hand it to ya D
you da man
It's ok, it's a dry cold.
You do get used to the cold though.

to do a little barbequing at -40!!!
Seems propane doesn't vaporize too well when the temps are a little nippy.
Had to fire up the 1500 watt electric heater to warm the olde propane bottle.
One pounders are easier to warm up than the 20 pounders.

I hear he is gay and just making his move on you.
Sorry Wayne, I just needed another reason to use one of my special emoticons.

My friends and I had a crappy dinner at a place in Port Credit once.
The service was super slow and the waiter a moron.
What we did was pay for the food and left the waiter 1/2 of a five dollar bill as a tip.
Hopefully he got the hint.

had quantum hot sauce sort of stick on me a couple of times in late november.
I run my Quantum PTI's in -40 with no issues.

Yep, I've had em freeze up.
As said, remove side cover, remove grease and replace with Quantum Hot Sauce, go fish.

My buddies dad used to race drag boats and his boat ran about 135mph in the 1/4 mile.
He had a blow over once at top speed and when his chute pulled him free of the boat his leg tore out the gunnel and gave him 150 stiches down his leg.

Called the neighbours before lunch and found out that the power was restored about 9AM.
All is good, no frozen pipes or dog.
