I thought Dodge finally got the tranny issues figured out a few years ago? I know the ones behind the Cummins were replaced and replaced often.
I guess not.
He has the Hemi in his truck.
What blew me away was that at the time he bought it Dodge was offering the free diesel upgrade and he declined it.
I don't know about you but I would have got the upgrade.
He did say that his truck was the only mega cab they had in stock so maybe he just didn't want to wait for one.

Love my 2007 Ram Megacab (Hemi). So far no complaints, had a seal go on the front diff @ 90000km but was repaired no questions asked .
Its a beast of a truck, so its not great on fuel but i knew that going into it. Gas is offset by our VW TDI car .
Its driven hard, put through the paces in the back roads and she's not let me down yet.
Before I bought, i talked with a few of our fleet mechanics (City of Toronto) about issues with the Dodge VS Ford as the city has both in the fleet. Dodge was the winner hands down, and city vehicles are not likely babied.
I will start shopping for a new one next year, this time I,m going with the Ram Megacab with a Cummins.
Good luck in the search!
R
A guy I know here in town has a 2011 Mega Cab and has already had the tranny replaced.
Other than that minor issue it has been fine for the first year.

Next maybe your favorite bass area on Lake Simcoe will be filled with windmills, I know they proposed to have them on LSC right out in the water, wouldn;t that be awesome.
More structure is never a bad thing fer catchin' de green panfishes.

Got out yet again to try for that giant gator that has been eluding me.
Off in the morning twilight to see if the big girls are hitting the early buffet table.
I was hoping for a repeat of yesterday when I had as soon as I put my dead stick down. The first fish of the day was this nice 36 incher.
It wasn't nearly as good a bite as yesterday and the fish were a lot more timid.
The dead stick was outfishing the jig. I did get quite a few fish and lost a giant at the hole on the dead stick as well as breaking off another giant on my jig stick.
Finally got that fish I've been after around 1PM. This bruiser taped out around 43" and hit a black/white Northland Airplane jig.
:good:

Ewwwwwww...you pick those things up????
I usually just smash them off the hook with a baseball bat but figured you might like to see what a real pike looks like.
:tease:

Got out again today and the bite was stellar!!!!
Hit the ice at sunrise again.
The pike were super agressive and smashing jigs with wreckless abandon!!!
I had my first fish before the jig hit bottom!!
My first 7 drops produced 7 fish landed out of 10 fish on!!!!
Lost count of all the fish today but figure I landed close to 30 in the 5 or so hours out on the lake.
All of the fish I was catching were those pesky 24"-30" fish again.
Come sundown though the bigger fish turned on and I got about 1/2 dozen over 30".
The biggest taped out at 38" or so.

YEAH BOI!!! That's dope y'all!!!

My dad ha a loaded Sienna and didn't have any problems with it.
He just traded it in last fall as he doesn't need all that room now that mom and the dog are no longer around.
He replaced it with a Rav4. Big enough for him and gets better gas mileage.

Understandable, ......but a bronze is still in the medals. Having said that.......if i had a shot at gettin on the ice, Id be skipping the US game for it lol

The Canon tracks and rod holders are very nice, but a little spendy.
I have Big Jon planer masts on my boat and they work very well.

Had a friend in Alaska followed like that.
Followed him for quite a while before my buddy felt enough was enough.
The bear was following about 10 feet behind him but left when he got a snoot full of bear spray!!!!
My buddy said it took off like it was on fire!!!!
Ran about 30 yards away, turned around looked at my buddy coughing and spitting amd finally spun around and ran off into the bush. He was not seen again.

Start in 10-15 FOW.

Had a black fox come up to me while fishing here in the NWT a few years ago.
It wasn't scared at all and walked right up to me.
I was float fishing for pike at the time and had frozen shiners for bait, so I fed the fox a few and sent him on his way.
But he wouldn't leave until I tapped him on the noodle with my fishing rod!!!!

awesome. I think I'd have to trade in my hand auger if I ever moved up there.
NAH!!!
I still use mine at first ice.
Nice and light when you're walking on.

Crap loads of ice way up in the North country.

Too many encounters to list em all.
Been woofed at several times by both black and grizzly bears.
Been bluff charged by a ma grizz protecting her younguns.
Closest of all was a run in with a 9 1/2- 10 sow grizz while heading back from the river.
Had one foot on the bank when I saw her coming towards us. She came out into an opening 10-15 feet from me and completely ignored us. If she wanted she could have been on us in one bound.
I thought about taking a picture of her when she was right there but couldn't remember if I had the flash set to automatically go off and didn't feel like ticking off a 1000# bear, so I waited until she turned around.
Oh, that and I had my fishing rod in one hand and my other hand was on my bear spray just in case.
On a couple of occasions I've had grizzlies sniffing at my tent in the middle of the night ans one time while sitting around the fire I heard a faint woof over the sound of the creek and crackling fire. I asked my buddy if he heard it and he said "heard what". I told him that there was a bear on the other side of the creek and he said "yeah, ok"
About 10 minutes later it had come over to our side and circled around us on the camp grounds road.
It caught our scent and ran full boar past us. You could barely hear it's gallop but you could feel the ground vibrate as the bear passed by about 30 or 40 feet away. I asked my buddy "well did you hear that?" I thought he was going to soil himself!!!
:rofl2:
Another good one was when a bunch of us were sitting around camp and one of the lads was deep frying chicken wings for 20!!! We were all having a drink and waiting for the feast to be ready when a grizz walked up the hill from the Russian River and stuck it's head between the fence boards (the fence is about 4 1/2' high with 3 horizontal 2X8's). As you can imagine this caused quite a stir in camp!!
As soon as someone said bear!!! there was about 8 friends all standing there brandishing firearms!!!
One of my buddies walked over to the firepit and grabbed a very healthy log, walked over to the fence and whopped the bear on the head with it!!!!
The bear left, the guns went back into hiding, chicken wings were eaten, drinks consumed and a great story was born!!!

You're horribly spoiled if you don't think those are brutes!
