  1.

    With the snow coming off the open lake,won't be long before folks in the Soo are tunneling out to the street. I remember a couple of winters with 10-12' snow banks back in the 80's

    AHHH!!! Those were the good old days weren't they? :lol:

    I remember on snowstorm in the 80's in Mississauga where we had 10' drifts in the driveway.

    Spent 10 hours shovelling and still didn't have it cleared before the old man got home after work. :w00t:

    LOL a guy my father worked with was out at CTC one night with his wife, when we ran into them... She was trying different shovels and he kept saying, "MAKE sure you are comfortable USING it, it is your job to clear the snow ya know, you just had to move here to Canada from Holland didn't you".... We just cracked up.

    :rofl2::rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

  3. For sure Jimmer... the steel they use today is absolute junk compared to the cars of the '60's and '70's. My son's 2005 Ford Focus.. we snapped more studs off than I can care to count just changing him over from snows to summers, etc. Even after a soak in penetrating oil. Heat seems to work most of the time, but who carries a propane torch in their car, other than Joe, Art and Dano! lol

    Three words can take care of that issue "Anti Seize Compound". :whistling:

  4. Of course I can change my own tire. :rolleyes:

    In some pretty harsh conditions to boot!!!!

    While on the way back from the lake my cabin is on I had a flat and pulled over to inspect.

    If possible I use my compressor to fill up a slow leak but this was a sharp rock in the tread and not slow.

    So I replace the tire with the spare no biggie.

    OH, did I mention it was -50 with the wind chill? :canadian:

    Another motorist stopped and asked if I needed help (I didn't) :good:

  5. We also heated rocks on the fire and put them at the bottom of the bed to keep us warm at night, anyone remember that?

    That still works!!! ;)

    I have the new version in my tent trailer in Alaska.

    Heated mattresses!!!! :good::good:

    Just turn on the generator and thermostats 1/2 before bed and it's toasty warm. B)
