  1. Great pics.... love that coho... and the brown I've yet to catch either...but soon...hopefully.
  2. True. Fishing gear never needs to be fancy like it is now to catch fish. But for some reason, we always end up spending so much on fancy stuff....
  3. IMO, after using gulp products with the juices...i've caught more fish. so i agree that scents/attractants do work.
  4. It worked... You got my vote. Man, I would totally replace my XSi with a D90
  5. Great capture! For some reason, it won't let me cast my vote as it says all required fields must be entered, even though i filled out everything.
  6. Thanks guys Victor, I hope you have a great trip with better weather than what we're currently seeing. Should be prime time for algonquin fall colours. Look forward to the pics
  7. These were taken from a recent trip we had. I was literally one foot away from this brave seagull! These trout (rainbows and brook trout) were in a pond at Scenic Caves. It was great watching them come up to take pellets. Lots of frogs in that same pond Pretty hard to capture a monarch in flight! (taken at Sauble Falls) THE DEVIL!!! (Sauble Falls) Fairly small run of chinooks at The Mill Dam in Owen Sound (I was surprised how many of them had lampreys attached) The main point of the trip was to visit The Bruce Peninsula.... Beautiful. Absolutely stunning how clear and blue the water is and the amazing scenic shoreline.
  8. I second whispering pines... Roger is a great guy and prices are very decent.
  9. That's a great video! Good job on it, and thank you for sharing.
  10. I know cypher and this IS REALLY his first year of fishing. I can't believe he got that 6.5 lber...this guy learns fast. Good work bro.
  11. wow...crazy! i'm gonna give river fishing a go tomorrow morning for the first time ever. Thanks for the info you have provided victor, i'll let you know what happens and whether or not you'll be seeing me in the fall for steel haha
  12. wow...that thing is huge! just look at the arm of the person holding it. do you really need to take that many panfish to require one of those?!
  13. Hmmm...so should I be chuck topwater frogs out there in the dark? Let me know! The topwaters that caught the eyes were mimicking fish.
  14. Being a frog guy and having took amphibian courses in University, I say it's still early for frogs to migrate to hibernation areas. It's getting to 10-13C overnight and you can still hear the odd green frog calling out. I've always thought about whipping out the UL gear and float fish for crappies, but it seems like they're already hitting the hard baits anyways. I can probably get into more of them with that approach though.
  15. Went out to my favourite lake again for a couple hours of sundown fishing. Was very surprised at how the walleye were on fire... even taking our topwaters! Had a lot of fun for 15 minutes when a school of them came in and smashed our lures. Trolled around looking for them afterward, but they were only there for a few minutes it seemed like. In total we caught about 4 bass, 3 walleye, and a handful of crappie as well. Went back out again yesterday since it was so good out on the 31st, only to be confronted with a lot of floating weeds everywhere. Managed 3 bass and only 1 walleye... hooked into a huge muskie that took my current favourite lure I have never had walleye come up and hit so aggressively at the surface. They fought hard too!
  16. wow....HOGGGG nice bass! can't beat topwater huh?
  17. loved it... thanks for putting it together and sharing it with us. the hogs at the end were great!
  18. thanks guys..i updated original post with better pics... the fish totally engulfed the frog. crazy.
