  1. How'd you manage to get any real fishing done with all the BASS guys zipping all over the place pre-fishing for the OBF tourny? I was telling the son and his club mates to try the humps on Couch. as a back up plan. BTW, Nice perch.
  2. I certainly wouldn't mind being schooled on the finer points of spekkie fishing. My father-in-laws house was in Steelton. A 10 minute cycle to the lock and a 5 minute walk to the rapids. A couple of Bruzzese sausages, a prosciutto sandwich and a bottle of homemade wine and we were set for the day.
  3. What a tasty looking bunch of fish just waiting to go in the grease.
  4. I love hard water as well, as long as we can have something that resembles a real winter in Southern Ontario. Don't know if I'll cut too much ice this year. My chauffeur has discovered a new sport at 19, panty raiding.
  5. If there is a way to lock something down, there is a way to get it off. Locks, cables, etc... are a deterrent. If it slows the thief down enough he just moves on. With the pros it doesn't stop em. As my insurer put it, you have to make the effort to secure your property in order for your insurance to be valid. That's all.
  6. I've got this wee little disability that gets in the way of doing more fishing. It's called WIFEY
  7. Some of you already have the misfortune of knowing me I am a self confessed fishing junkie. I love to fish, awake or asleep. I eat fish, read fish, wear fish, and , as the wife likes to remind me constantly, smell like fish. In spare time my son and I make tackle. I'm not one of them species specific types but I do like fishing ultralight and pannies. Don't much care for the bickering and bull that goes on, just interested in my 100 days a year on the water. Hope to share some fun
  8. Try the Cayuga bridge, there is a park under it. In Dunnville go talk to Steve at Fishmaster's tackle.
  9. I smell a road trip coming on. Its been 23 years since I've been in Algoma country. St Joe's, the pool, even the wall fishing for whities.
  10. They died doing their duty for our country. I hope, this time around, our government does not forget its duty to their service. It's a deep hollow feeling inside when you lose an oppo or barracks mate. Like the song says, "Bless em all..." and God keep em close.
