  1. Thats too funny. I believe I was there. Still got the polaroids he was giving away. Thats the only time I recall him being there. Small town celebrity word travels fast. lol Medium blue 71 GMC sitting on white keystones and 35's? Maybe 36's. I used to get Oxenden and Colpoy's mixed up. Colpoy's was a great place to take the kids when ever the ice crushed the trout corral's at the cape. 1-2lb trout every cast. Great fun for them.
  2. Pee'd off shift worker???
  3. My first concert at the tender age of 14. While my parents were visiting friends in London I heard the music and had to investigate. Over a fence with some others and lost track of time. Police were called for a missing country kid in the city. My dad told them where I would be but I got back on my own. Caught just wee bit of shyte for that one. Worth it.
  4. I believe firmly in swapping out my fuel lines every two years. All of them. Cheap and easy insurance. I've never had fuel problems, but I've seen many folks with deteriorated remains in the system. With portable tanks I dont worry about a separater. I just dump it my daily driver if it sits for a few months and it's easy to see if there are contaminates in the tank. Built in tanks arent necessarily so easy to deal with.
  5. Went east on 9, south on the 400 and east to Pickering on the 401 the other day. What exactly does "express lanes" imply??? Am I missing something? I get why people tailgate. At 120km if you leave an opening the size of a small town parking spot, some one will fill it. My wife had to self medicate.
  6. I use Cannon dual axis. I have them mounted fixed, but you can also get the the tracks. https://cannon.johnsonoutdoors.com/us/shop/rod-holders/aluminum-rod-holders/dual-axis-adjustable-rod-holder
  7. I often get asked how I can kill fish but wont hunt. Just the way I grew up is all. It's said that I came out the chute in 3 foot swells with a rod in one hand, coffee in the other asking what the hot colors were.
  8. Nice. At the end of the day it's your product out there. I often send potential customers elsewhere more suited to their budget.
  9. I did just that, but I think theyre travel ability is restricted. With any pan fish around here comes the other species that are not in season. I simply let them know the risks and that some things were frowned upon. At the end of the day, you do what you have to do to feed the family. I guess I just stuck my head in the sand and didnt want to know anything. Good people, bad people, I dont know, but the kids have no blame either way.
  10. Is tofu on the stock exchange?
  11. Maybe a his days in "Gladiator School" will tune him up. Unfortunately, I met a young family recently that had no clue fishing laws were even a thing. Just trying to get through a tuff time. I donated some gear, took them to get a license, directed them to regulations, gave them some tips where to go and havent seen them since. Hopefully theyre putting food on the table. I'm almost certain they wont identify species in season, just toss them in the cooler. lol
  12. Coming off the ice with gear in a sleigh.........I wasnt fishing. lol One of many offences I personally believe should be cracked down on with more severe penalties
  13. My youngest daughters favorite fishing hole for fair weather fishing. We used to drift from the ramp area to the mouth in the summer catching a mixed bag of bass, pickerel, sheep head and cats. Upper Saugeen can provide muskie, pike, bass, bows, browns, speks and I've come across jet black bows in the past. Not sure what thats about. Used to have a good run of skamania in the summer but I havent seen one in some time. There are access points all over the Saugeen. Stop in at Thorncrest Outfitters for info. Canoes and kayaks are the only way to travel the upper. I think there's about 150kms of river not including the endless nameless tributaries.
  14. I may have to resort to garage sales. Meanwhile, this morning.
