  1. If anyone here does web programming, specifically PHP & CGI please PM me. I need to change a few websites around and OFC'ers are way cool so I'd rather work with a fellow fishing junkie.
  2. Why is everyone so sensitive. if it's legal, leave the guy alone. There's way too much negativity going on. If it's not something you would do, fine....but why come down on someone else for it. I don't like eating chicken..does that mean it's wrong to do so???
  3. Carp, Bull Moose can be one of the most aggressive mammals in North America, especially during the mating season. The problem with Moose is they can go crazy and put you up a tree (or van) with no warning. Definately wouldn't be getting that close to one.
  4. Does anyone know what discounts LeBaron will be offering for their Boxing day sale? Their website only says there's a sale, no mentions of anything else.
  5. The link from the OFC Online Tournament to the forums is a bad link. Think it links to the old forum on ProBoards.
  6. Hey, you using the buzzbombs off the boardwalk by the mall?
  7. BPS has them at the main fishing counter and the fly shop
  8. Ya, but they're going to be getting dumped on with heavy rain for the next few days. Will probably make quick work of that snow
  9. So the forecast for most of Ontario shows rain and mild temps until at least mid next week. I guess that halts any plans of winter camping over the next few weeks. Anyone know where there's good snow right now?
  10. Hey, if anyone on the board is a member of the Canadian Forces Army Reserve, just wondering if you have any feedback as to what it's like. It's something I've been thinking of doing for some time and finally met with a recruiter yesterday. There's so many options and they make it seem great, but just wondering what it's really like? thanks
  11. Remember that when camping in a provincial park, whether backcountry or campground, wood is always and issue. You're not allowed to cut and vegetation, be it standing or not. I personally prefer winter camping on crown land away from the crowds where you're able to do your thing. It really depends on where you live and how far you're willing to go. Do you want backcountry or stick to X-country trails? Snowshoeing or Skiing? Solo or multiple people in your party. All things to consider. in my opinion, winter's the best time of year to get away. PM me if you want for any suggestions.
  12. Did fairly well today. Water was pretty good, fairly clear. I love fishin in December.
  13. Dan were those deer seen from the highway on the drive off 17 to the sleeping giant provincial park? I was up there in June and have never deen so many deer in such a small area. I counted 27 before I arrived at the trailhead.
  14. I also posted the question on http://www.myccr.com and got some good links. Didn't realize there was so much info on these sleds. Just have to decide which setup to go with now. Thanks for all the help!
  15. Hey guys, need some help. I'm looking at buying a Jet Sled this week and modifying it so I can carry all my gear on backcountry snowshoeing trips. I saw one a while back that had PVC piping attached to the rope holes, which then attached to a waist harness. The concept being that while moving on declines, the pvc would keep the sled well spaced instead of cutting you down from the knees. Does anyone have any plans on how to do this or have a picture of one. Thanks
  16. i read the book. Pretty amazing what he did up there. Cool spot too.
  17. Just came back from the sale. Almost nothing good left, although they had one Arctic 2 Star sleeping bag left for $ 169.99. All the good packs are gone, no canvas left and no prospector tents. Bug jackets are only in small and x-small. They have a ton of parkas left though for at least 50 % off.
