  1. I was the one who started this topic. I now see and understand the quality that goes in and comes our in Shimano products. I realize they have fewer better bearings. Thanks for everbodys output.
  2. What would people say for the second best reel company?
  3. Try fresh cutbait, or huge minnows. Your rig should be fine but go to the bigger baits.
  4. baby snakes are found in all bodies of water.
  5. I bought these over the winter. I can't wait to try them got there is the site below and watch the videos. I beleive in this bait. I will have results this upcoming season. Or i hope so. http://www.bassprofessor.com/elite/originalfishingsnake.php I tried the smaller package, but it takes a while(1 month) to get to Oshawa as it is in the US.
  6. Has anybody heard of the Origional Fishing Snake?
  7. I know they are good reels but why are the bearings much lower compared to similar priced reels. I bought a bob izumi signature series rod and it came with the Shimano Sedona spinning reel witch is 4 bearings. Costed me $129.99, but a combo say from bass pro would have 8 or 10 bearings. Just wondering if these reels are good long term with less bearings.
  8. Why is it that the prices for Shimano reels are so darn expensive. I know quality when i see it but many of their reels are very low on bearings. Do it matter with Shimano or is there a problem. I got one of the Bass Pro spinning reels and it had 8 bearings and was less than $75. I dont know i own a shimano reel but their prices for reels dont seem right. Any comments.
  9. Right now i have 2 top end spinning combos. (ya not much i know) Last year i bought a top end shimano baitcast combo(129.99) and for the life of me i couldnt get it to stop the backlash. I brought it back and got a new spinning combo. I did have a older baitcast reel, so i bought a cheap berkly casting rod to put with it. A random fisherman helped me out with the reel and showed me the small nob on the right hand side. I found out how to adjust it to the weight of the lure and i was better with the the combo. My question to go with all of this is if i bought a 6'6 medium action baitcast combo. What kind of line would i put on it. Braid or Mono. Im leaning towards the braid but i dont know what is better with the backlast. Also What is the magnetic control for? Wow i wrote a lot. Thanks for whoever answers.
  10. We need to do more polls like this.

  17. Not saying it's anybody here but i have herd for years that bass pro shops rods reels tackel whatever is not good. I think they sell some of the best rods and reels around. Is it me or am I the only person who likes Bass Pro Shops.

  22. Here it is, You and a buddy are going fishing for the weekend. You are going to a lake you have never been to before. You think it has bass pike muskie and other game fish in it. You are under the impression that you are packing "light". You are allowed to bring the following: One plastic container full of soft plastics lures whatever. (The container should hold no more than 10 lures) and 2 rods. I got this idea from a friend. I would bring a medium action 6'6 spinning combo, and a 7" medium heavy spinning combo. As for the lures: One deep running crankbait, one shallow running crankbait, one shallow running jerkbait, white spinnerbait, black blue bass jig, yum dingers, berkly gulp jerk shad, topwater popper, silver spoon, and a buzzbait.
  23. I have a 6'6 Shimano Bob Izumi Signature Series Spinning combo. I like Shimano reels but im not sure if they have enough bearings. Mine works fine but i find the price are two high for a 2 or 4 bearing reel. But on the reel you want go for it.
  24. What about for bass.
  25. Hey everyone, I bought the 3" Berkly Gulp Alive Leech. I have not yet used it and my question is what ways can you rig this bait. Thanks
