  2. it looks like solopaddler is gonna have some competition on this board with this young buck and his success... some of his poses even look the same!
  3. Dayuuummm... i need new friends
  4. HEY I HEARD THAT Congrats to Dutchy on his best ever trout opening weekend. It sure made a difference using a TROUT rod this year compared to the SHARK ROD from last year
  5. excellent report.. . keep em coming..
  6. Well, the opener was slow for me, but great for my friends...no worries... I needed the break from the everyday grind. I caught this fish in a small trib off Lake Huron Saturday morning and there is some debate as to what the fish is. It is either a large brook trout( for these waters) or a small brown trout? What do you all think ? Thanks Splashhopper
  7. I came up to Goderich to visit an ill friend last night and did some scouting of the Bayfield and Maitland rivers on the way. I drove up to the Saugeen and Sauble this am to find the same brutal conditions. ALL ARE EXTREMELY LOW and VERY CLEAR ..... does not look good at all for the opener tomorrow. The region is not expecting rain ( 40-60% chance) until late Saturday either. I hope i have saved many of you gas and time and that you will be able to find more suitable rivers for the much anticipated opener. These dissapointing conditions have changed my whole plans for the weekend as well.
  8. If I were a muskie, I would eat those
  9. Hey Teach,,,, i think you are hung up on theory( see research) Lots of carp fishermen gave their experience to you and you blew them off. There is an old saying that seems apropo here: Those that can't TEACH,, those that can DO ! Keep surfing the net, maybe you WILL find the answer that YOU want eventually. Happy "trolling"
  10. No need to "sell it"... just pay it forward and give it to me Let me know when and where to pick it up.. I can be there with very short notice.
  11. nice couple of hours .... wish I could say the same.... wtg
  12. I am just wondering why your profile pic looks like a pike...? It sure leaves some questions about the intent of your "trolling for carp"
  13. great pics... are u sure you weren't just "POSING " though ? Where is the fish ?
  14. Thanks Irishfield. Now if I can just remember what colour my canoe is, it's been so lonnnnng
  15. Rubberized rocker guard? Where do i buy that from and how easy is it to apply? Does it go on the inside or the outside of the boat? (I have a Sportspal canoe that has a few leaks in it, but I can't see myself taking out all the interior foam lining to re-rivet the seems.) This rocker-guard might be the answer for me IF it goes on the outside. I am open to other suggestions as well. Thanks
  16. Yeah,,, every time they check you, they seem to think I should be checked too just because I am with you? What's with that ?
  17. i think I would live in Canada for the spring/summer and fall seasonal ( maybe couch surf for a few years at some of the posters from here who live in remote places of our country ) fishing and then move to the amazon river areas for Peacock bass fishing.
  18. thanks for the adventure... I especially like the "rod cam " video... i almost fell in TO the screen watching it Keep em coming....
  19. This site has been a great source of information and help to a newbie like myself and my daughter. I have met some nice guys here and look forward to helping out with Ryan's fundraiser this year if it is a go as well. Fished with spinnerbaitking, twocoda, dan Bouck, Ryan, Chris K,John F(and his friend) Jjcanoe and Dutchie so far and the guys at Ryans fundraiser that I just can't remember all the names .( hope I didn't forget anyone) My daughter and I are looking forward to a couple of the family fishing events this year that we see all the great pics and stories from as well. Keep up the good works, why would I even bother looking for another forum? Is there one?
  20. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/793075--salmon-to-be-nurtured-before-release-at-port-credit Interesting article and nice tribute to a fellow fisherman.
  21. Can you teach me how to get that obnoxious too? I am a natural at being obnoxious... but not having any luck the past 6 months for bows!
  22. I used to manage a bar that had brass rails all around the windows. Every day for the three years that I was there, those rails were rubbed down with Brasso. They always looked GREAT in the morning. Just like the day they were installed. I am pretty sure you won;t be rubbing your lures down daily for three years... give it a try..
  23. Hi Doc: If you can't block THE IDIOT, why don't you start a NEW TOPIC with ALL OF HIS PM'S TO you.... that will expose him to the rest of us and should do the trick... giving him exactly what his passive aggressive ego is desiring.. ATTENTION.. Then we can all block him.
  24. the bite for carp was sloow today, so I logged in to the site on my Blackberry.... what a PLEASANT surprise I had when it redirected me to the new mobile version. Great job guys. Splashhopper
