HAHAHA! Love it
-
A triumphant return at that! Those are beautifully coloured speckles.
-
I'll take some of those june bugs off your hand!...20 cents a pop
-
Wow...that is one nifty hut...love it!
-
Lots of vehicles on the ice and we won't be seeing temps warmer than -20 before the weekend. Hoping for a warm spell lol!
-
Trilene XL up to 8 lb. and XT for heavier applications...
-
Also, frozen minnows on a deadstick can be deadly as well.
-
I would definitely suggest bringing minnows, but 2 to 3 inch bright tubes will produce, as well as just about any small to medium sized flutter spoon.
My general rule of thumb is less then 10 FOW, sometimes less than 5, but the water is very clear, then they could easily be taken in excess of twenty feet. Look for mud flats and deep timber, and you should find some fish.

You would be catching fish...
You would need to adoped catch and release practices.?
Just commenting on how most fish tend to fall under the current slot...and yes, I enjoy keeping walleye sometimes
-
So hear is somthing to ponder.
What if the slot size was changed?
Nothing can be kept under 50 cm?
I, as well as many others, wouldn't be keeping hardly any fish that's for sure if that were the case.
-
Finbores...like everyone else has mentioned above is definitely the way to go.
-
Never used a showdown, but flashers work just fine in a boat.
-
From everything I've heard and seen, bigger fish are typically taken in shallower water with less frequency...I'm sure others can attest to this.
-
AWESOME gator.
-
^ LOL that was hillarious!
Still I think if you're going to kill a fish it should be put out of it's misery as soon as possible. I wouldn't fish with people who do otherwize.
Let's go ice fishing
I leave my fish to die horrid, painful deaths...the stress adds flavour
-
Sportsman show if you're interested in more than just fishing stuff. Really enjoyed it the one time I went, but will never go again.
-
rubbing shoulders with hooligans in the city or relative solitude on a pretty lake? Seems simple to me!
Can't chime in as to ice safety, but I would guess smaller lakes are just fine.
-
Awesome stuff Tyler...
I will be up there to lay a beat down on some lakers soon enough!
-
Good lord...smoked ribs and square-tails...sign me up
-
Well a monster laker will be no. 1 on the list as soon as season opens, after that it'll be more about location than fish caught.
-
5-6 inches on Callander today...sinkholes everywhere, and some clown drove his truck out about a km off shore. Couldn't believe it didn't go trough.
-
It's an awful mess on the back lakes right now. Cold snap will lock up it and tight though.
-
ice will be fine.

Herring are not game fish so yes you can use them as bait
