I spent 4 nights camping in the park in early March 2013. It's a pretty spectacular corner of the world in the winter
-
Nice clean gator, from outta the slop to boot
-
Awesome and THANK YOU for the lspp porn. My favourite place on earth!!
-
Look at the head on that laker!! Some amazing specimens for sure
-
Buy a bait needle and thread a (dead) minnow onto a gangtroll
-
I remember firing a big cleo right into to the side of once. I don't remember how it ended but don't recall it being fun for either party

There was a multipage discussion on this stuff not long ago, dont remember the thread title, maybe someone can chime in on that.

Very cool!

Oh boy, that's brutal!!
-
Nice kinger

Damn looks like a great spot!
I already told you to stop using topwaters for lake trout!!

I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. I average 13.5 with my 13 sierra with the same motor and 3.42 rear end. It is still way better than my Old f150 was.
And Brian, if you don't think you need her permission, she is doing a better job than you think...
I imagine I'll be around there after the lift and tires are installed. I'm going to look into picking up a tuner as well.
Ryan, those Pro 4x Titans are awesome. I was considering one but decided I didn't want to give up the long bed/ext cab which I dont think nissan even makes

Don't get a GMC/Chev if it's mileage you're after. My '13 5.3 is an awesome truck, but they still haven't figured out how to make their v8's reasonably efficient. My current rolling avg. according to the DIC is 15.1 MPG...oww!!

I wake up at 4:45, get dressed, make a tea, hop in the truck and im at work for 5:10-5:15 for my shift. I couldnt imagine doing what you guys do to be honest

I failed to see the funny in this story lol
That really blows. I consider myself lucky, I have never locked my home door once and leave my keys in my truck and toys all the time hah

Bring your waders. If you like steelhead, you'll be in heaven

If you want top notch fishing with easy access for waterfront camper spots and noone around, consider Quebec. I can provide some information to get you started. You'd likely be looking at a shorter drive with better fishing.

Yup, same for me, although most of the lakes that I would spend 2-3 hours getting into are less than 50 kms from me.Im kinda spoiled. Within 2 hours of my door I have more lakes than I could fish in my lifetime, so I tend to not go too far for day trips.

I used to commute from Callander to North Bay and I really didn't care of it. I now live about 900 meters from my work and it's pretty damn sweet

when the zombies come to take over, if you've got enough ammo, I think you guys will be pretty self sufficient
To fend off the zombies or the citiots?

Dave---You can buy a needle to thread a snell thru the minnow---needle has a hook---loop on snell---pull thru and usually leaves a double hook out backside of minnow for trollin
Ya don't want to just lip hook a minnow and hope it stays on
X2

Ohhh yeah. My favourite spoons are Williams Whitefish and Wabbler's, but a nice chunky dace behind a gangtroll (trolled slowwww) is the cats meow (if we're talking down deep summertime)Set of Les Davis Cowbell gang trolls with meat out behind, hands down the best when times are tuff.
