Liberals and Conservatives alike have apparently had no problem eliminating sovereignty in our natural resources sector, but hey, it's not like the CEO's running the Canadian-based operations give any more of a damn about the ecological implications as those based in China, so may as well create a few more jobs along the way...

I've had several replaced but I've never dealt directly with St. Croix.
I've always just brought the broken rod into any tackle shop that carries St. Croix rods.
Bingo.
I broke 2 8'6" premiers on big carp, and had them replaced both times. Not exactly fast, but it was done.

God Bless Canada...
But all kidding aside, the writing was on the wall long ago. All they needed is a majority...

Find a couple kids and tell them to play a game of tug o' war...

If you turn up on any GTA tribs with a flyrod at this time of year (with the exception of part of the open water on the Credit) then most people that see you will assume you are fishing out of season rainbows using the excuse that you are targeting suckers (which usually show up later in the spring). Be ready for some abuse.
Rainbows are in season, so long as you're on a stretch of river that's in season...
Check the regs and see what stretches of your local tributaries are open. Use steelhead flies...if you're targetting steelhead, you're targetting suckers...

Up on the larger Georgian/Huron tribs with lots of flow they are quite popular, and are definitely in their element with that sort of application.

Sweeeet fishin'. Most of these smallies coming on tip-ups?

Those Elitetech blanks are gorgeous.

4 lb Trilene XL...The only line you'll ever need for pannies. Don't let anyone tell ya you need that fancy stuff...

Am I the only that thought it was a big ole carp at first?

That's a pretty vague question. If you are fishing in US waters, you have to have all appropriate licenses and papers with you, depending on the state you're in. Simple as that.

I listened to this one a few times today.
Cash does some great covers.. I think their covers anyways
Cool! Rusty Cage is a Soundgarden track. Never knew Cash did a cover of it.
Currently listening to Elliott Brood's Amabassador album.

Sweet! your reports are awesome. Keep it up, it's only begun.

Rock Candy is a staple on my Ipod and my 19 yr old son put it on his after hearing it. Sammy Hager never did anything as good as what he did with Montrose.
Yep! Montrose is great stuff.

Very good chance your trip will be right in the middle of the thaw, but the river mouths should have lots of fish around. Good luck.

But officials with Ottawa's NHL team say that could put the club out of business.
That's not vague and unsubstantiated at all...

Not sure why you feel a move like this is screwing over the everyman...
Corporate subsidies like this are what drives the prices up to begin with.
Personally, I'm more than happy to see less of my tax dollars going into corporate leisure expense accounts.

I'm about to dive into some fried herring as we speak...

I'm right handed, and find right hand retrieve baitcasters, and the idea of switching hands between casting/reeling to be very strange. Left hand retrieve all the way.

I highly doubt it will be iced up, but I'm pretty sure they put a chain across the entrance in the winter. Worth a check, anyway.

Didn't someone catch a Chinook there a few years back? If a Chinny could find it's way in there...
The French river is a very direct route from the Great Lakes....
The wound on the ling from yesterday was definitely smaller than what I've seen on chinook and steelhead in the great lakes. However the eel was very large and definitely looked like the other sea lamprey i've seen.

Good goin. I've yet to eat a herring out of Nip that I didn't like...

Good eats!
