  3. was thinking of heading down to long point this weeekend and i haven"t kept a bass for years..but was going to keep a few small ones for the frying pan,,are the bass wormy down there thanks
  4. my livewell won"t pump the water in,, i don"t think there is a pump just pressure fed from the bottom of the boat. there is a switch on the console to flip but nothing happens..before i rip the deck off can anyone help with the problem..checked all the electrical connections and they seem fine thanks

  6. i use my minn kota for trolling very slow dragging worm harnesses with snap weights,,if you put the minnkota straight with the bow you can steer with the main motor. i have two large batteries that i use because a day of trolling will use alot of juice,, i would suggest a foot control electric ,,you can also use it for shore casting for any species,,just make sure you buy a big enough one ,,ask the salesman and know the weight of your boat ,,,good luck..

  12. i"ve never used the tierra but i do have the pt,,love it ,smooth, great drag. the pt has a flippin switch that is excelent for jigging walleye pitching for bass and drifting from a boat on the niagara,just hit the button and the line is let out,,take you thumb off and your fishing all with one hand, this feature is what sold me. good luck in your purchase..
  13. i"ve always used braided line on my planer boards, i figure the no stretch gives me a better hook up. but sometimes the hooks do rip out of the fish, anyone use mono with their boards and why do you think it works better? thanks
  14. was there yesterday the weather was great not as much snow as i thought the trout are diffently feeding on smelt i was using roe but it was slow so switched over to a white streamer and started having some luck the water vis is about ft and 1/2

  17. was ready to hit the water this morning, got up at 6 ,slipped quietly out of the house . the weather was terrible so got home at 8. climbed back into bed with the wife with new plans in mind. cuddled up to her back and she wispered,,,can you believe my husband is fishing in this crap!!
  18. i see that some of the members are putting up some of their pictures from the past year so i thought i would add to the mix. here"s a few from the niagara last year and this november, the weather this year has kept my boat of the river,the last few years we fished pretty much every second weekend down there,there"s also a few from our trip up north is july..looking at all the snow coming down july sounds pretty good right now!!
  19. a friend of mine is selling his handheld gps ,i fish smaller lakes and leaning more on more towards trolling, if i do buy one should it be one that is like the fishfinder style or the handheld one and what are the pros and cons of both thanks guys..
  20. niagara is a washout ,mud ,port d is good but will probably be packed
  21. port delusie is giving up some good fish and the water is clear ,,lower niagara is mud ,waste of time,,good luck
