  1. Sounds like garbage line

I'm no expert, JMO, improved clinch is what I do on flouro and mono, and I can't complain

I use improved clinch too, and can't recall the last time the knot failed. Maybe a bad batch of line?

  2. I've only been to GTA once in my life - but I'll tell you something - how anyone can put up with living there is beyond me - I'd rather live in a trailer and have a low paying job somewhere out in the bush then to put up with the mess in that big city - but I guess all big cities are pretty much the same - I thank God every day that I was able to live my life in rural Pa. - where the only concern on driving is the deer crossing the road -

I'm one of those guys stuck putting up with it. The traffic and sheer numbers of people is intolerable for me. I have 50/50 custody though so I can't move away. You do what you have to I guess. There are lots of good jobs here and my Son is getting a world class education at least (he's in a public school for "gifted kids " so it's like a private school education for free).

I would happily live in a trailer or micro cabin north or northeast of here, and most likely will as soon as my Son is grown up and off on his own.

  3. For those that can't or don't want to pay, you can stream at v i p b o x . e u

I download so I can get 720p but have to avoid spoilers until the next day that way.

I had action on Rockhold and Aldo so I looked good for about a half an hour until Jose let me down! I have to admit Connor is the real deal much as it pains me. I think Edgar can beat him though, if he's next up. He's a much better wrestler than Connor imo, and should be able to dictate where the fight goes.

  4. Howb knarly u want to get

can give u direction to a speck lake with a open all year status that a stock 4x4 will usually makenit.to

My truck is stock (for now). I do have a canoe so if you're willing to share that would be awesome. Might be best to PM though since it's technically against board rules to post spots.

    Thanks!

If anyone wants a good bass lake near Nipissing that they can wheel to send me a PM.

  5. They used to have trails for dirtbikes in the Ganaraska Forest off the 115 at Kirby but no idea if they still allow it or even let trucks in or not.

I used to do some mountain biking in there but that was 20 years ago.

    Maybe worth a phone call.

Thanks Lew, I forgot about that place. I'll look into it.

I used to wheel my old truck just north of there off of Mount Joy road south of Blackstock but I think they are enforcing private property there now.

I also used to go with some buddies to Shiloh off Ravenshoe, but that place is too gnarly for my truck.

Heck even an old logging road would do. Just want to go for a cruise in the woods.

  6.

Atleast she hasnt stopped companies from throwing christmas parties. Or is that festive parties? Nope, maybe it,s enjoy your December party. Dosent matter, it,s a buffet tonight, and Im hungry. :santa:

I can only dream! My company's Christmas party is two hours in the middle of a shift, and then get back to work. So cheap. :(
  7. Listen there dutch, I lost my father Thursday morning in what has been an experience I wouldn't wish for any patient of our so called health care system. Although he received exceptional care from some staff, the indifference of others that saw us step in on several occasions and probably save him from great harm still leaves us shocked.

Our family watched a man go in for a procedure he believed would extend his life with loved ones and age him 20 years in the 3 months of hell he endured in both ccu and acute care Until the strongest part of him, his heart just gave out.

I could accept the fact he took a risk and it just wasn't in the cards for

him but when the bed sore on his buttocks was so bad it was a mess of rotting flesh and exposed bone, it tears my heart out to think of of the undue pain and suffering he went through at the hands of a system he entrusted with his life. A lesser man's heart would have stopped much sooner.

Systems are broken throughout ministries and these governing idiots keep fritterin away our present and future in a fashion that makes the astute among us long for the past while we all suffer along the way.

I doubt kate, Dalton and the health minister would be interested in what I have to say so I'll save it for "ALL" in public "SERVICE". I will miss "NO" opportunity to voice my displeasure when I feel you have not earned what you take from us. A while back a member asked why I pick on our best. Prove your best and you won't be picked on. Maintain the status quo and there will be no quarter given. You don't like it, cry to your boss. I pay my dues and owe you sqwat.

Broken record and garbage? Not enough room in that closet for as big a lib as yourself. You just don't know what you are or wanna be dutch. At least I'm not a pretender.

I'll be sure to give my dad your best?

While I'm sure you don't want my condolences, they are offered all the same. I have a Dad too.

As for the rest, I was done talking to you as of my last post.

  8. The one part I can't understand about the debt retirement charge is, why do we pay HST on it.

When I borrow for a car, the payment is on the total amount I owe, all tax included

You don't get a loan and pay tax on the item as you make payments.

So why are we all paying tax on loan payments.

I could understand if Kate was dinging us a bit extra for provincial tax but she is giving 7% to the feds....for nothing

Not only that, but the debt the charge is meant to pay off has been paid for years now!

  9. 275 k02's would look sharp.

Look into Bilstein 5100 front struts. They are adjustable and give you up to 2" of front lift without spacers, so your ride quality actually improves and don't lose suspension travel.

Everyone loves them, but they probably cost more than I have to spend. I'm thinking of those down the line though. Mines not a Z71 so rant skid plates too.

    Dang trucks are expensive!

  10. My '13 Sierra averaged 17-18 mpg on a tank with street tires and stock ride height. I have 2" of lift front and rear, 33" duratracs, and yanked out that stupid air dam. I average 13.5-14 mpg now, but I don't have to worry about bottoming out and blowing out tires like before.

If you level the front end of your truck more than 2", make sure you get a differential drop, or else you can say goodbye to your CV's and balljoints in no time!

Hmmm, maybe 2" will be enough for me. I'd rather not do a diff drop off I can help it.

I'm 95% on road.... The stupid air dam is going to plow snow if I don't take it off though.

I have P255/75/17 stock tires. Been thinking of going to LT275/70/17 Bridgestone AT KO2's. I don't want to go any bigger because GM decided a 3.08 rear was a good idea. It's a 4x4 and I don't have the funds to change two diffs...

  11. The new fullsizes pretty well all get good mileage because they put those ridiculous air dams on the front end and baby tires, giving it the ground clearance of a compact car. Once you get it set up to be somewhat useful offroad that all goes out the window.

So true! I have 9" of front ground clearance because of that air dam. I'm getting a 3" front level and taking the air dam off so we'll see how mileage is affected....
