alot of ppl were pretty sure he would never play in the NHL again....but i'm glad to see talk of him coming back....i still think he is a key player when he wants to be....he is just a jerk and will act like it if he doesent like where he is just like what happened in Dallas....once/if he goes back to New York they always seemed to keep him under control.....and dont bring up the brodeur thing becuz when he did that....there was no rule...in my mind it was smart becuz he wasn't breaking any rules....

talk is that the rangers are showing some interest in Avery again....apparently there is a couple other teams who are interested.....like to see him back in New York again.....prolly be somewhere before the end of the season though....anyone else have an opinion?

yeah i've heard lotsa bad things about it....but i haven't had any problems with it yet....maybe you jus get a bad spool sometimes i don't....gonna check out the maxima tho for my baitcaster.... Hawk

go out with pink worms and flies and things that look like roe until you catch a hen....then skein her out....or maybe talk to a fish hatchery in the area or even a local tackle store will prolly have a bit of rainbow or chinook roe kickin around....good luck

try breaking the leader line with ur hands.....if it breaks then definately get some new tippet.....you shouldn't need new main line but if you are looking to switch brands i am a big fan of P Line.....never had a problem with it but some other guys will tell ya that it tangles easily....i also used Trilene XT for a while but found that after a while it wears down easily....good luck

right now im working as a night custodian to get me through the winter and in may i will be heading back to Kenora to work as a fishing guide from opening weekend until about the first of September then in the fall i will be goin back to school to study business where i hope to run my own bait and tackle shop but as well run a hunting and fishing guiding business from the store.....so hopefully everything works out within the next few years..... i was told chapstick works as well....don't know if anyone has already posted that or not....nor have i tried it but i was told by a guy on the river one day to put chapstick on my guides and it will keep them freezing....anyways good luck Hawk

yeah there's always someone headed to Lake O tribs.....other than that there is lots of brookies around the Lindsay area....in the winter Lake Scugog is close by as well as Gull Lake is about a 45 minute drive from Lindsay.....i think Lake Simcoe is not far either.....not sure tho....you will have to check that out

if i'm there, i can show you some spots for steelhead and salmon, i also know of a couple brookie streams, i got accepted to fleming too for the fall semester, jus not sure if that is where i am going to end up.....but when you move up there.....put up a post and we can maybe get togetther for some fishin..... this past saturday i along with 2 buddies walked out about 2 miles and did some fishing, only caught 3 fish but there were lots of huts and lots of quads and sleds and lots of ice out there......we have also rented a hut for this weekend coming.....ALL SYSTEMS GO! oh yeah lol seen a deer walking on the ice jus behind my trailer in booth's harbour, kinda cool.
