  1. Looks good to me. The only thing that tackle box is missing, is a couple packs of YUM tubes.
  2. Did they still have shitloads of those Shaw Grigsby soft plastics left over?
  3. I fished Six Mile on more than one occaison last summer. No Walleye to speak of.
  4. It's terrible over here. (I'm in Pickering) I've had to do the driveway, and back deck three different times today. The white stuff just keeps falling. Hopefully this bad weather doesn't continue tomorrow. I'm sick of shoveling.
  5. That first Perch is a biggin. Good stuff.
  6. There's also a Beech Lake in the Bracebridge area. If that's the lake you're talking about, you can expect to find all of your pan fish species there, as well as the odd Pickerel.
  7. I will be there with the wife and kids some time friday afternoon. And I'll have the foil on just in case someone steps outta line.
  8. I've been fishin in Frenchman's Bay for over 20+ years and I've never seen anyone land a Pickerel there. There used to be a good population of Eyes in that area. You could usually get them just a few hundred yards offshore from where the power plant resides, but that spot has since dried up. I've seen a ton caught there in the past, just never in the bay itself.. Shore fishin for walleye there isn't worth it, you'll just be wasting your time. You have to get in a boat and go outside the bay to have any success. Nowadays Frenchman's bay is a hotspot for Pike, and believe it or not Freshwater Drum. This year there was some real monsters being caught in that area. Some of the biggest I've ever seen.
  9. Ahhh the tiny town of Norland. I've passed through there many times.. That's close to the famous South Beaver Lake. A few km's up the road and your there. Of course I'm not at liberty to say exactly where that is. One of the best small bass lakes in all of Ontario!!
  10. Bring on the white stuff!!... And I aint talkin about snow.
  11. Yep that's it Terry. I screwed up on the spelling.
  12. Huh?...Take a look at my original post. It says August 17. That wasn't last night.
  13. I can see why no one has heard of this lake, its about the size of a giant turtle pool. You could walk from one end of the lake to the other in about ten minutes, give or take. Theres only three cottages on the entire body of water.. (my buddys being one of them)..Saying this is a small lake is an understatement. I did quite a bit of fishing there this summer and I must say its a damn good lake for largies. Using live bait, you could literally get fish on every cast. Theres also supposed to be a healthy population of pike, although I didnt catch any.. If youre ever around Whitestone, Ont you should give this lake a try. Its right beside Lake Washweshkesh.(I believe thats how its spelled) About 15 minutes south west on the bunny trail and your there..
  14. Is anyone familiar with this Lake?.. It's in Whitestone, just outside of Parry Sound. Any info would be much appreciated. Fish species, ect... Thanks
  15. I understand there is a time and place for everything. The point I was trying to get across is, if you had to choose one, Soft Plastics or Crankbaits, what do you go for.. What is the better all around bait for Bass in general.
  16. That first Bass is bizzare looking. The head is twice the size of it's body. Don't see that too often.
  17. I know everyone has their preference. Personally I like to stick with crankbaits. Just seem to have more luck with them...The Cotton Cordell Big O is my crankbait of choice.(Silver & Crayfish pattern) What are your thoughts?..And also what baits in particular do you feel work best for Small & Largemouth Bass? Lets hear it.
  18. I did some fishing there in the first week of July. Didn't catch any Pickerel, but I did get a couple Smallies, all in the 1-2 lb range. Caught almost all them on a silver Big O.. For the most part the bridge is a great spot to fish, but it can get over crowded at times. If you don't feel like fishing there you can always drive to Deer Falls. It's only a few kilometers east of the bridge. Great for Pike and Walleye...
  19. Anybody do any fishing in the Bay recently?.. I've caught a couple Pike there this summer, as well as a few Freshwater Drum & Carp.. That's about it. .Haven't caught any Bass so far. I'm starting to think the Bay isn't the best place for Bass fishing. Maybe I'm wrong... Anyways, lets hear some fish stories..Who's had success in Frenchman's Bay as of late.. First post. Glad to be aboard. Cheers!!
