  1. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/gear-aid-revivex-instant-waterproofing-5-oz-0764481p.html#.Vkns0SsYM8I I have used this spray several times on tent seams and have only very excellent things to say about the product. I know there are other type products like this (by Woods ) at CT that suggest use on snowsuits. I would not hesitate to use these on your suit !!!!!!! Just spray it on and let dry ...but you may need a few bottles of this to fully do a suit. ROOK
  2. OK - so who was it in the Lund with the Honda outboard Wednesday at exactly 3pm ??? 2 guys ..one wearing white in the stern and the lucky one wearing brown in the bow who managed to cast for a musky in the shallows on the west side of Balsam south of the park ???? watched you guys from my dock ( one of the few left in the lake ) just about 200m south of your location... nice looking fish !!! My poor tinny does not have a trolling motor so I was relegated to trolling the lake Wed and Thurs since there was NO breeze what so ever but I managed nothing. Prayed for wind but alas I was just blessed with September temperatures !!!! Still better than working !!!!!!!!!!!!! My season is done but nice to see someone catch one in the shallows still ....thought they were all deep by now ???? ROOK

  7. The launch off Balsam Lake Drive (Trent canal) gets busy quickly as it is a small lot to park in. Some end up parking up on the road actually after launch. Many fish right out from the Canal entrance and do a good job. Pike ??? everywhere by now so you never know where they may hit !!!!!!!!

  12. Heard so much about the wacky worm technique off this site. was finally trying out a wacky worm rig with moderate success ... BUT.... kept finding the fish really swallow down the hook even though I thought I set the hook quite quickly when I felt them take it ended up that after a few fish I bent the barb down to effect an easier release - was using some sort of 3/0 standard worm hook (sort of long shaft) is there some hook that is better than others to try and prevent this from happening on a regular basis ???? HELP !!!!!!!!! Rook

  20. fished from 7-11am = insane weather out on the lake ... started off with winds at 14 kmh and then by 11 they were 45 gusting to 60 !!!! plus all the streamers and blowing snow gave visibility at times down to a few metres ... all that for fish I couldn't even keep ... managed only 3 herring for that effort.
