  1. That's a shame I have been a power pro fan for years and the line has not caused me to look for anything better. You can test the line strenth with your fish scale just tie a knot and anchor one end to the floor and the other to the scale to see what it does break at. With this information you can usually write the company and they will send a free replacement.

  2. I have the wireless unit and the delay on signal and the over rotation is a pain in the butt. I have installed a special tiller handle on the bowmount motor and only use the foot pedal or belt clip units to turn on and off and speed adjustment. To do all over a factory tiller bowmount is my next motor. You can knee or kick it around as you fish.

  3. Please note that I am in a place where it is legal to fish for bass all year around. I have fished in the time of the spawn and returned the fish back to the water in a timely manner. This is what I have observed. The bass will return to the nest area and continue to guard it. I have seen very little predatory reactions from the surrounding fish. I know there are many that say this condemns the nest and we have wiped out a whole brood of bass. I think the impact is minimum on the bass as far as the breeding and year of the young. Now the important point is if it is illegal for them to be fished then that is what I would be angry about. As far as devastating the lakes population I think that it is not likely.

  4. Unclamp it and place it on the floor of the boat. If not then vertical puts the stress in line with the transom which will prevent any damage. If you leave it in the horizontal then it is has the leverage and the weight to torque the transom. A strong transom though should not have an issue with a horizontal electrical trolling motor.

  5. The 1600 CC volkswagen was rated between 40 and 50 H.P. stock and runs without a load around 210 F and starts to destruct at 235 F. Air cooled as they are I would see this thing sending a lot of them to the garage with a blown motors and drivetrain issues. However it is cool to see that someone has do this.
