  1. WOW!!!!! I knew I could count on you guys!!!! Had internet issues yesterday, so I couldn't log in to see any responses till now! Thanks everyone for all the input!!!! I will definitely check out all and post my report next week! (And maybe I'll check out Lloyd! )
  2. Hey guys, My pops turned 60 this weekend and I was going to get him a full day charter for some trophy walleys's either on Lake Erie or Ontario (BOQ area). I've been looking at the charters, both from what I could find off Google and also from this site, but so many of them are no longer in business or don't give enough information on their sites, not to mention all the American ones. I'm pleading for some help! Can anyone recommend a charter outfit for 4 guys on any Great Lake for some early Fall Walleye fishin'? I figured my trusty OFC brethren would be the perfect ones to ask! Thanks!!
  3. Well done!!! That'll keep ya warm!!
  4. These things actually work really really well! Very handy, especially if you're in a canoe!
  5. Very nice for just a few hours! Haven't been to Shades in years. Hidden gem really. Thanks for the report!
  6. ha ha ha ha! Classic
  7. Great lookin' ride!!!! Congrats! We look forward to many reports with the boat in the background!
  8. I was fishing Couchaching this weekend and was amazed at all of the dead carp that I saw!!! There must have been at least 8 or 10 just in one small bay we were fishing in. All sorts of sizes too. We caught a few smallies in the same area and man, could they fight! They were in no means in any bad health. Not sure what's causing all the carp deaths but it's sure one hell of a mystery!!! Weird. Probably is aliens.
  9. I picked one up last year and you just can't enough of these little guys. I have mine sorted out by species. Handy that way!
  10. Heading up to Sand Lake near Kearney. Never been there but I have one week to find the bass! Shouldn't be too hard! Looking forward to some relaxing time with family and a ton of fishing! Good luck to everyone this weekend.
  11. Thanks! Small 28lbs shark I caught off the coast of Cancun last summer. Hour long fight but well worth it!
  12. Just went out at lunch and bought a couple of buckets to try at the cottage next week. For those in the KW area, Fishing Fanatics in Waterloo also sells the leeches, minnows and smelts for 26.99 a pail. Wish me luck!
  13. That was an unbelievable report!!! It really made my time pass at work!
  14. Just found out that Natural Sports in Kitchener has some Gulp Alive minnows available.
  15. Nothing beats a double header! Great job!
  16. Ha ha! That's awesome. Congratulations!!!!
  17. Thanks everyone! I'm so excited to be back!!! Already went out today at lunch and picked up some new crankbaits for next week!
  18. Hello, I used to be a very active member of the old OFC site until my wife and I had our first child , which pretty much put an end to my fishing days ......until now! I'm glad to see that the board is still as alive and informative as ever. I definitely missed reading all the posts and reports, so I'm glad to say that I'm back in the mix. I start my fishing days again next week with a week long cottage trip booked. Stay tuned for my first report (at least on the new site that is!)..... Oh....and I had a beautiful baby boy......can't wait to post his first fish ever caught (probably in at least 3 or 4 years!)
  19. Looks like you had an awesome day! Thanks for sharing!
  20. That's a pretty fair price. I was paying about 22 bux a month for a 16' Tracker and a 125 HP merc for the same policy that you're getting.
  21. Have all sorts of hard baits, but I love the Rapala's due to the success I've had in the past decade or so! I absolutely love the x-rap's.
  22. Not sure about the first two but I've had my Pirhana for about 3 years. I've used it on many canoe trips and also at cottages. I think it's been pretty good. It has all the same features that I had on my 16' tracker. Only down side is that the suction comes off easily if you troll over 10 mph. Other than that, I love it and will be using it all next week at Sand Lake!
  23. I love fishing the Grand. There's a lot of little honey holes if ya know where to look! Nice pics.
  24. Nice report. I would kill myself if I tried fishing on a kayak! Heavens forbid I caught something! Ha ha ha!
