i know that bottle, thats a BIG smallie. I would guesstimate its weight at around 5lbs!

LOTS of cottages and a provincial park to boot! do the math, for that distance there are a lot of other options. I highly reccomend the mcarthur mills area look it up, i think the lake i fished was called Fraser, great for walleye adn smallies.

i know rods can REALLY shyrocket in price, some of them are incredibly expensive! now lets be honest... Is there really a big difference in a $30 rod and a $150 rod?? if so, what is it?

Hello All, I'm in need of a new spinning rod and would appreciate a little input... I dont want to spend too much money $50MAX, any suggestions? anyone use the BPS brand rods or Bowring rods? they are reasonably priced, and appear to be well made. thoughts??

the lake is a decent size, one arm with a few small bays and narrows and one big open area. i would compare it to, hmmm, little lake in barrie, maybe 30% bigger.

I've been quite a few times, if you love to fish I would re-consider. The lake is VERY crowded, lots of boats and seadoos wizzing around, the fishing is stagnant at times. Have caught some bass there. There are supposed to be trout in there but apparently nobody has landed one in years. If your making a trek all the way out there, there are better places to hit. Try neaerby town Macarthur Mills, beautiful area, lots of excellent fishing spots too! i bleieve its a little west of maynooth, which is just south of lake st peter

I say more power to them, they've been given the muddy end of the stick for centuries by our ancestors and it should be up to our current leaders to do right by them. All these perks you've touched on in the past few threads pale in comparison to the oppression and poverty that OUR government has subjected these peoples to. Canadians in general love to spout off about how fair and compassionate we all are, yet we treat our natives like second class citizens and it appears like this will continue for years to come (in my opinion I can see it in some of your posts above and before, pretty sad in my opinion) . Some make comments about racism and opression south of the border, yet right here in our own backyards were relegating natives to "reservations" and government handouts! Its time these people are heard and appropriate opportunities are afforded to em. just my opinion...

Sounds promising! Let me know how your brother does, I'll be up there on the 6th of July. -
Hi Guys, I've got a trip to Casa Blanca Lodge on the Upper French next weekend. Just wondering if anyones been there before and if so how was it? Any tips on things to bring, hot spots for fish, etc? Thanks for sharing the info guys!!

We were fishing Sparrow lake a few years back (maybe 12years) and had a pretty strange thing take place. We were driving (fast) through the middle when we noticed another wake parallel to the boat about 15feet out running alongside us (not behind us enough to be considered runoff from our wake) we stopped the boat and whatever it was kept motoring ahead at a little faster than trolling speed. SCARY STUFF!! no idea what the hell it could've been ***correction, it was not sparrow lake it was BIG DOE LAKE***
