hey everyone
I fired up my 1.5hp Johnson motor today to test it out and warm it up. During the process I noticed that fuel is leaking into the bucket of water where i was testing the motor. I brought the motor out once last year and it did the same thing before i got it to start so i didn't end up using it for the whole last year. It seems that whenever the prop turns (when i pull on it the motor to start it) some fuel comes out ... it wasn't substantial but i didn't think that is normal either
The motor is a 1956 1.5 horse johnson. It ran smoothly though other than the leaking problem, in fact i'm not sure if it is a problem or not .
One more thing... there's two knobs on the motor which says "high speed and low speed" ... and it has labels saying "lean/rich" depending which way i turn it... does anyone know what those knobs do? When i get my photobucket up and running again i'll try to post a pic.
Thanks in advance!
Victor
p.s. good luck to all this coming panfish/trout opener!

isn't it great to get out after being in school for so long?
i didn't catch much last weekend when i went out for crappie as well but it was real nice being out there stress-free
-
great report and beauty pics! thanks for sharing!
-
nice fish cliff and carole!
i still haven't gone out for my first carp outing yet.

thoughts will be with you and your family!

i'm not sure about the eggs, but those fish seem to be largies

hey evster.
lol there's no way to tell from your pictures but i think i know which creek your talking about ... i go to the uni. of waterloo and saw the exact same thing last year around this time... they are suckers ... only here for probably 2 weeks or so and they'd disappear

What would people say for the second best reel company?
it's really personal preference ... some people might not think that shimano's the best ...
some say that you'll never have a problem with a daiwa or a shimano ... seems to be true for me so far
-
more bearing doesn't necessary means that it's better ...
in fact, more bearings = more mechanical parts ... which sometimes makes it more difficult to maintain/fix if the reel is low quality

Happy Bday Bill! that means u finally have to get a fishing license!
for sure 18 feels different with the other ones ... don't worry... another year till you dump that fake id

Hey everyone. Finally i'm done my exams. I was hoping to go fish somewhere tomorrow before i start working Monday (i'm in a co-op program)
I saw a few crappie report last 2 weeks or so ... is it still on? I'm probably going to the Simcoe area ...
i have never gone crappie fishing before so i have no idea when they'd still around ... if it's too late i'll probably jus go find some suckers.
thanks!

great way to spend the weekday! those are some nice sized cat, must have been fun hauling them in.
for that sucker to turn into a steel, i think you need to slant your hat alittle more
-
thank you once again to keep us sane for the time being
by the way i've noticed that the largemouth you catch down there is usually more colorful ... looks better
-
hm. i think they're trying to advertise that bayliners + dodge don't need trailers
on top of that, the truck can still do off-road and is as tough as a pole
-
nice fish and pics dsn.
hopefully you finger will get better... as others said... get a second opinion... maybe your doctor has been reading your carping reports and he doesn't want you to catch all the fish
-
i'm sure after a long winter all the fish miss you ... just taking them alittle while to find your offerings
man they raised it again? maybe you should tell them how often you go on the ferry and get a discount lol
-
nice looking boat. i think it still needs a OFC sticker
-
don't worry i hear ya. when i was grade 8 my spelling was probably worse ...
good thing is, u don't have final exams
-
anal fishing trip? doesn't sound like you really want to go buddy.

try doing a search on "favourite lure" ... or something along those lines
i think the conclusion from that post was that... a lot of the people chose white grub and a jig
other popular ones are worms, small spinners
Trying to identify a fish....
