ya know, a few years back I applied and passed all my physicals for york region. I wrote a test and was pretty easy but still didn't make it, oh well, I guess I was meant to do something else with my life. I was asked to reapply but said forget it and that was the end of that.

I was up at Roches point and the ice was about 6-7 inches, fluffly snow on top hiding some very slick ice underneath. The perch were small and were biting when the sun was out and when the sun went away so did the perch. I was out in a out 15- 28 feet of water. I was using a glow perch buckshot spoon tipped with Berkley Power maggots. The berkely plastic sure did make a diifference.

Some guys like the braids then attach a fluoro leader to get that invisible touch to it. I've always used Trilene and it does the job, but if a big pike comes knocking say bye bye to your lure unless you have a strong leader.......

where do you get the chubby darter and what colors were you guys using?

and I tipped the lure with some power maggots....worked out well.

also do they view 120 an hour as the given maximum or are they following the 100Kmh strictly.....anybody know a cop, ask them for please...thanks

so there I was going 180 clicks an hour when all the sudden (Kidding. kidding......lol)....I was traveling northbound on the 404 and saw a little black speck at the top of the bridge. I say to myself, is that a cop? I was going maybe around 120 or less so I get closer and BAM!!!! Its a cop!!!!! Immediately slow down but its already too late to fake it. The guy had a radar and binoculars attached. So did I get the ticket? How do they work it? Do they radio ahead and then have a unit pull you over or do they treat it like a photo radar and send you the ticket later on in them mail. I don't even know if it was OPP or York Region...man this sucks, I hope I didn't get tagged.

Any updates? Is the ice safe yet? I asked a few shops but there not totally sure.

So is it the scent that puts them over the edge or do they need to feel some meat on the hook to get them to hang on?

I'm also looking at the Lil Foxee Jigging Minnow from Bluefox. So much to buy, so little cash lol.

I hate bringing minnows with me, I hear that if you don't tip it your catch percentage is cut by half. What's the technique for jigging it properly? Thanks
