  1. awesome catch! great looking pike you got there! congrats
  2. concensus seems to be water snake... either way, good job jumping for your life! lol i would have done the same (i hate snakes!)
  3. nice morning catch! good job!
  4. i had a santa fe... it's a solid vehicle. good performance, solid handling, has good power for a smaller SUV. i'd definitely recommend it. keep in mind, though, that after about a 4yr period, you'll have to be prepared to pay up for repairs. nothing serious, normal stuff, but my experience had it come all at once. but overall, i'd recommend it. i enjoyed it. good room in the back for kids, too.
  5. On Monday I'll be making the trip out to Buckhorn for some bass fishing. The trophy season's just starting and I can't wait to get my line wet. Gonna head out for those bass and then take some time going after some musky! Anyone been out lately?
  6. i just returned from vacationing in Italy for a month... and man, all those vacation days really do pay off. everyone's so much more relaxed and enjoy life so much more. everything's relatively calm and there really isn't a need for any rush-rush routines. my family over there is so calm and loving life. i envy that. i returned saturday and i'm already stressed lol
  7. wow, nice catch! that's one big *bleeping* fish
  8. hate any neighbours? if you do, that's one way to get back at them...
  9. i voted for spinners... but top water is also works very well you gearing up for bass? i know i am... monday will be my first outting to kick start the trophy season
  10. unfortunately we had to call it quits early, but still wanted to try it out... ahhh well.. it happens. might head out for walleye tomorrow or some time next week, hoepfully i'll hvae some better luck then
  11. nice catch!! great job... i'm heading up to the kawarthas in the coming days, trying to pick a day and try my luck too
  12. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
  13. Went out today from 8am-2pm at Cooks Bay today to try my luck at some Northerns... aanndd... nothing! Not sure if my buddy and I were in the wrong spots at the wrong time but didn't get any luck on the pike today, unfortunately. The weather was very nice and relatively calm in the morning and by noon the winds picked up and it became VERY choppy on the waters. After battling our way through the waves, which appeared to be angry to see us, we finally made it to one spot to try out luck for some perch. Perch were biting, as they always are, but the jumbos not so much. Managed to snag two nice ones, both just under 11", and the first of the two fought quite well. Came home with a decent meal for two of perch. (Sorry for not having any pics, will have some nex trip) By the time we packed up and hit the road to head home, the sky cleared up and the wind died down... go figure! I guess the pike will have to wait another day before having the luxury of hitting my line! Next up, walleye at the kawarthas!
  14. very very true... and, of course, wonderful wonderful bass
  15. thanks! hopefully i'll have better luck next time... and some of that comes with me in algonquin!
