I'll bike an hour or 2 but it's still a day's trip and I want to know where I'm going before I try.

I would, anything outside of a 10 minute bike ride is a full day trip for me I like knowing if there is any point in even trying before committing one of my only 2 free days to it. If no one wants to post if anything even lives there then send me a PM.

Does anyone know if it's worth fishing, sometimes the local ponds are pretty good but usually the other way around...

I was out there yesterday, we had a fish on almost every cast of varied sizes we were using a pickeral rig with white plastics.

Going up to simcoe for jumbos and maybe some crappies.

well had the shake down cruise and everything worked well, a far cry from last years problems with my boat

fishfinders worked well, love the hds8

big engine and the kicker worked well

so I stop and played with the underwater camera and it worked ok too

I catch some perch but for the most part I just watched them on the monitor...

it's just a lot of fun...

Thinking of heading up to simcoe this weekend for spring whities, do they come in close enough that you can shore fish them, I know that most people vertical jig for them which I wouldn't be able to do from shore, could I try for them from jackson's point?

Do you use a steel leader? they're pretty toothy. Also what happens if they swallow it, is there any chance of getting it out or should you just cut the hook?

I guess I can wait that long, right now I'll focus on the ofc tournament, as for flies I've heard of people using just rope others say to use a hook do you know anything about that?
