Did anyone else here the interview on TSN with Burke. The guy called out Burke about the Cherry thing, and Burke was pissed. then the interviewer asked burke about people calling for burkes job, and burke went nutso on the guy. It was great.

I know a fish biologist, I'll shoot him a line and the picture and see if he knows...

Reality is the cap is going to go up, I am sure burke knows that. 5.5 mil a year is worth alot less now than it was 3 years when most of those people in that list signed there deals. Not to mention after the cap goes up even more. Who knows what the new CBA will look like but I have faith that burke has a pretty good idea.

At the very least Grabo is still movable at 5.5. Just look at some of the flakes out there... I think Gomez was mentioned. Besides the biggest point was made above. If he just walks for nothing in the summer we are much better paying an extra 500-800k per year for him than what he is worth. I think 5x5 would have been a good deal. Grabo does lose the puck a fair bit, but he digs hard in the dirty places and isn't afraid of anyone, including chara. Remember the stunner he got from chara and staggered back to get the winner? He reminds me of Tucker with more skill, or Gilmour but not as good. He is that type of player, small, gritty, and CAN score.

I like Grabovski on my team.

I remember almost falling on the ground when I heard this list. HOW is it possible? What happened? Then they panned over the bench and you could catch glimpse of gretz. Wow I couldn't believe it. On the bench? Riding the pine?

No offense to Borque, one the the great players to play the game. But NOT the greatest.

Joe had a great olympics so yah, Lindros, yah, Fleury, umm I dunno, I guess so. Shanny? I love Shanny, but I dunno about that one either.

Burke is just waiting for the US dollar to get a bit stronger to let his bud Ronnie go.

 

Promote Dallas Eakins! Lets not let another awesome coach in the leaf system get away like Crawford or Quenneville.

I would consider trading in my blue and white if crawford ever stepped behind the bench. He is worse than an American, a true Canadian Traitor. A disgrace to Canadian hockey.

As for Wilson, I really don't think Burke will do anything until the end of the season, but if they lose to Montreal it is clear that on any other team he would be out the door. Seriously with the schedule the leafs have coming up a coaching change doesn't feel like it will make a hill of beans.

I would say the only saving grace is the last 4 games of the season. If they can hang in with a couple points of 8th place its possible. Just highly unlikely. They can lose 5 games, and likely make a good run for a play off spot.

So they need to win all the games they should win...Thats

Montreal x2, Tampa x2, Canes, Isles

That leaves 12 games

They absolutely need to win the 4 games against the other contenders with Buff x2, Flor, Wash

Down to 8 games.

Then take your pick of dropping five of these... I like the leafs against Pits and Ottawa, Boston is pretty much a write off, Phili will be tough as will jersey as the leafs don't play well against trappers.

Haen't used it, but from a baitcaster I want 3 things. Comfort in my hands, Good Backlash control, ability to cast far with light lures.

To me the sub 200 dollar market has lots to offer that meet my needs. I would rather save a hundred dollars on the reel and get a more sensitive rod. This will put more fish in the boat imo.

It wasn't meant as a debate here about the actual event or non event but a question to what this boards moderators would do with such a thread. And the question was if it would be deleted. As I mentioned I would imagine it would be locked eventually.

I was just wondering if someone, not me, were to post a thread here about someone that was cheating in a tournament would you delete the thread? Just curious what the viewpoint of this is. And to others do you think such a thread should be deleted? I get that if it go heated it may be locked down as is the norm here.

They played a bit better last night, especially given they were on a back to back and on the road even though its just a short puddle jump of a flight. However now is not the time for baby steps. They need wins, and they need them now.

Terry, I find I don't often agree with you but I am 100 percent in agreement with what you said. I watched it a few times now, and I think the final shot of where they took the time to catch one and set the camera up to watch the release is enough evidence for me. I was a bit shocked when I saw it. I mean how many threads have been started debating even the legality of taking a single picture of an oos fish. let alone a video of a release and capture and in my eyes pretty blatant jigging of a fish with a ban on it. Just seems like they are asking to be nailed up to a post as a posterboy for stupidity.

IMO this is EXACTLY what people should NOT be doing.
