I never even heard of this show...good think I probably would have went and been dissapointed by the sounds of it.

Just wondering what you guys would consider "Good enough".

A perenial playoff contender, with a championship every 10 years?

A team thats up and down misses the playoffs but wins a championship once every 10 years?

Wins a few championships every 10 years.

Never misses the playoffs, but doesn't seem to be able to seal the deal in the playoffs..

What would you be happy with?

I would consider a successful franchise.

1) Finishes above .500 every year, below 500 means dismal failure and changes need to be made.

2) Doesn't just sneak into the playoffs every year but is considered to have a good chance at winning a playoff round every year.

3) I am not so hung up on winning a championship, but I would like for them to at least contend to win a championship once every 10 years.

That I would be happy with, for Baseball, Hockey, Football whatever.

I would also like my teams to always have one star player I can truley root for.

The Leafs are

27th in Points

28th in Goals per Game 2.22 (not good at all)

16th in Goals Allowed per game 2.83(Should be good enough)

26th in Goal Differential per game at -0.61

The leafs get bad bounces the same as every other team. Out of 82 games, you are going to lose some on bad bounces. You can't blame every loss on bad bounces. They certainly got a few bounces their way last night.

They need to start scoring on a regular basis.If they scored 3 goals every game they would have won alot more games th would have won 6 more games outright so far, and tied 3 or 4, and we wouldn't be having this conversation as the leafs would have 15 more points putting them in second behind Detroit. Even just half of those points puts them in a play off spot and we are all planning the parade route. You can't score you can't win. Plain and simple.

The leafs goaltending has been good enough to gather points. They need to put the puck in the net without making stupid plays like last nights OT game. If your a defensemen on a rush, shoot it and get back. Thats kinda the montra for defensemen in 4 on 4 hockey.

I don't blame this on the coach. I blame this on Burke. He needs to get a few more goal scorers and obviously a number 1 Center. Without a second line threat, Kessle is gonna have a rough time scoring.

I am not saying get rid of Burke. I think he has done a good job so far, but its his job to put the players on the ice. It may not be able to happen this year or next year even, but eitherway its on him to make deals or draft some talent. Blame whoever you want to but the fact is we need more talent up front. In the end thats the GM's job.

We will have to bounc this thread a few time this season to keep tabs. :)I too predicted below .500 I just don't think they have it in them. Its not that i dont' watch every damned game in hopes of something better. I was really hoping the goal tending would carry them. I guess they need to score more than 0 goals per game to even have a chance.

Of course that depends on how much electricity you use during the day.

The loss waas calculated for me by a top engineer at H1. Its still worth it.

Here is what I do to beat the Hydro Smart Meter.

USE 2 pin timers one for the transfer switch and one for the Charger, a Transfer Switch, 2 deep Cycles, Inverter a charger and a few relays and you can charge your batteries at night when the rates are cheap and use them during the day.

Hydro rates don't need to be soo high, its the people that run Hydro One and OPG that need to give there heads a shake. The unions involved also are a major in fact I would say the biggest factor in the increse of the rates for hydro.

Take a look at the Hydro One and OPG salary growth grid and you will see it is almost directly inline with the climb of your Hydro Bill.

Its the old government addage at H1 and OPG, Well we applied for the budget lets make sure we overspend it so we get more next time.

Honestly You could put the top 10 coaches behind the bench and it won't make much of a difference. they are what everyone said. A basement dweller again.I was hoping with solid goal tending they could hver around the 50-50 mark but they are going to have to average better then 2 goals per game. They are 11th in the league in goals against but second last in goals for. They do have decent defense, and decent goal tending. The only way to measure that is goals against. The offense obviously needs a boost big time. I hope Kadri can light a fire somehow. Perhaps we can make a deal for center.

Its gonna take a player aquisistion to turn this around not a coaching change and burke knows that.

well it was a vety lack luster performance tonight. i am hopibg this is not a sign if things to come. i hope they are in a funk and not comming down to earth. if they play every game like the last 3 versus the first three we are in for another rough season

well looks like he gets a 6 game suspension and the canucks get a 25k fine.

Seems about right in my eyes. I would be interested to see what this guy gets. I still think bettman will offer him minority ownership in the coyotes or the wild or dallas or some other team that is in the dumps. Maybe he will get some seaons tickets or something. I dunno, do you guys think he should get some kind of compensation?

noone here actually knows what happened, so its pretty hard to pass judgetment, but no matter what he shouldn't have gone into the stands.He will get a fine of 2,500 dollars and a 5-10 game suspension. Thats my guess.

Just calculate the knots thats easy enough. just toss your anchor off the back and tie knots every 20 inches.

Count the numbers of knots that pass over the stern.

1 knot is 20 inches per second.

1 knot is 1.85km's/hour

so if in 30 seconds you let out 30 knot's your going 1knot

if you let out 60 knots in 30 seconds your going 2 knots.

You might want a big anchor rope to do this.

video got taken down, many myths they have called busted are not actually busted. They get complaints all the time. I watch it regularly, and can think of dozens of ones that get got wrong.

He did squirt the guy, then the guy pushed on the glass and it broke, causing him to fall into the penelty box. The linesman came into the box and the fan was never hit by TD.

Domi definatly pumped him a few times. I remember even the interview with Domi afterwards he said he gave him a couple good shots.
