I was watching TVO last night and at 8:00 they had a series about woman in the police force. One of the woman worked in the huntsville marine unit, diving squadron.

 

They were live interviewing a boater who's boat had capsized. The driver landed unconcious in the water and this gentleman tried to keep him going (without PFD's). At a certain point to avoid further risking his life he had to let go of his best friend and allow the lake to take him down. This lucky man was alive to help the search and rescue team pinpoint a location where his friend may be.
