We sure are lucky to have all the choices that we have these days! You can buy a different "outfit" for every specie of fish or technique to catch 'em! So many fish..so little $$$!

I still use a 6'6 Shakespeare Intrepid MH baitcasting rod for topwater bass..I just never found a better action than this. My Shimano hate came from a Symetre spinning reel from 20 years ago..lol. Daiwa Exceler spinning reels are the best deal around IMHO. Daiwa Advantage baitcaster reels are superb-casting & smooth-retrieves that, make you want to fish the whole lake! G.Loomis Centrepin reels are awesome for steel. Fenwick HMX flyrods have great backbone.

Marabou is from a stork. Put your feathers in a plastic bag then spray it with RAID & tie it off for a day. Use BORAX to the skin side of critters/birds up to the size of a Fox. Scrape any flesh off with the edge of a table spoon. I'm an ex-taxidermist. Larger animal skins must be tanned to preserve 'em. I'm selling/trading my entire set-up if your interested..

I wouldn't even wear a shimano hat.. Berkley Tactix is a bargain as well.
